Abstract
Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk mengurangi polutan agar tidak terlepas ke lingkungan dalam jumlah yang banyak. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah penggunaan sistem electrostatic precipitator (ESP). Dengan menggunakan ionisasi dalam electrostatic precipitator (ESP), polutan dapat dikurangi seminimal mungkin pada tegangan dan kecepatan aliran gas tertentu. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran electrostatic precipitator (ESP) dengan reduksi CO . Dengan mengukur pengurangan terhadap jumlah gas CO di pipa masuk electrostatic precipitator (ESP) dan jumlah gas yang keluar dari electrostatic precipitator (ESP) untuk memperoleh hasil reduksi. Setelah mendapatkan nilai reduksi maka selanjutnya diperoleh nilai efisiensi reduksi dari electrostatic precipitator (ESP). Jadi pengukuran efisiensi tertinggi yang didapat adalah sebesar 85,58% pada saat tegangan 25 kV dan aliran gas 2 L/menit untuk gas CO. Semakin tinggi tegangan maka semakin tinggi efisiensoi reduksi yang dihasilkan dan semakin tinggi debit aliran gas maka semakin kecil efisiensi reduksi yang dihasilkan. Sedangkan perbandingan efisiensi reduksi pada elektroda tembaga dan alumunium adalah elektroda tembaga pada ESP memiliki efisiensi reduksi lebih tinggi yaitu 85,58% dibandingkan elektroda alumunium sebesar 80,72%

Various efforts have been made to reduce pollutants so that they are not released into the environment in large quantities. One of the efforts made is the use of an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) system. By using ionization in an electrostatic precipitator (ESP), pollutants can be reduced to a minimum at a certain voltage and gas flow rate. In this study, measurements of electrostatic precipitator (ESP) with CO reduction were carried out. By measuring the reduction in the amount of CO gas in the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) inlet pipe and the amount of gas leaving the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) to obtain the reduction results. After getting the reduction value, then the reduction efficiency value is obtained from the electrostatic precipitator (ESP). So the highest efficiency measurement obtained is 85.58% when the voltage is 25 kV and the gas flow is 2 L/min for CO gas. The higher the voltage, the higher the reduction efficiency produced and the higher the gas flow rate, the smaller the resulting reduction efficiency. While the comparison of the reduction efficiency on copper and aluminum electrodes is that the copper electrode on the ESP has a higher reduction efficiency of 85.58% compared to the aluminum electrode of 80.72%.
