Abstract

Telah diketahui bahwa instalasi turbin gas yang bekerja pada siklus terbuka, sensitif terhadap perubahan temperatur ambient dan menghasilkan daya kurang optimum apabila suhu lingkungan tinggi. Sebab, jika suhu udara yang masuk tinggi maka kerapatan udara menjadi rendah, dan dapat mengurangi laju aliran massa udara melalui kompresor pada instalasi turbin gas. Oleh karena itu efisiensi dan daya output tinggi dapat dicapai oleh instalasi turbin gas saat temperatur ambient rendah. Sehingga dapat dianalisis perbandingan unjuk kerja instalasi turbin gas ketika temperatur ambient tinggi maupun rendah. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisa performance pada instalasi turbin gas adalah analisa secara termodinamika dengan mengabaikan kerugian gesekan antara fluida kerja dan peralatan. Pada analisis ini, berlaku hukum kekekalan massa dengan anggapan tidak ada kebocoran fluida kerja, baik gas maupun uap. Bahan bakar yang digunakan adalah gas alam yang memiliki specific grafity (SG) 0.60620. Dari hasil perhitungan, pada temperatur 36°C diperoleh efisiensi terendah 29.0985294 % dengan Daya Netto 88685.48448 kW, dan pada temperatur 23.6°C diperoleh efisiensi tertinggi 31.4055759% dengan Daya Netto 104106.5864kW

It is known that the gas turbine installation is working on an open cycle are sensitive to changes in ambient temperature and produce less power when the ambient temperature is high. Therefore, if the temperature of the incoming air is too high, the air density become low, and can reduce the mass flow rate of air through compressor of installation gas turbine. Therefore the efficiency and high output power can be achieved by the installation of gas turbines at low ambient temperatures. So that comparisons can be analyzed performance gas turbine installation when the ambient temperature is high or low. The method that used to analyze the performance on the gas turbine installation is the thermodynamic analysis by ignoring friction losses between the working fluid and equipment. On this analysis, the law of conservation of mass applies with assuming no leakage of the working fluid, either gas or vapor. Fuel that used is natural gas which has a specific gravity (SG) 0.60620. From the calculation, at a temperature of 36 ° C obtained the lowest efficiency 29.0985294% with Net Power 88685.48448kW, and at temperature of 23.6 ° C obtained the highest efficiency 31.4055759% with Net Power 104106.5864 kW
