Abstract
Proses Green Leaf Threshing (GLT) merupakan tahapan penting dalam industri pengolahan tembakau yang berfungsi memisahkan daun dari batang dan mengatur kadar air untuk proses ageing. PT. X sebagai perusahaan penyedia jasa pengolahan tembakau menghadapi permasalahan pada proses GLT line threshing, di mana sekitar 6% dari 8800 pack produk tidak memenuhi spesifikasi kadar air, sehingga menurunkan kualitas tembakau dan menimbulkan kerugian finansial akibat pengerjaan ulang. Hal tersebut mendasari penelitian ini yang bertujuan mengevaluasi variasi kualitas melalui peta EWMA dan kapabilitas proses GLT, serta mengestimasi dampak finansial akibat variasi kadar air tembakau menggunakan fungsi kerugian kualitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses GLT pada line threshing belum kapabel, dengan presisi dan akurasi yang kurang baik. Ketidaksesuaian kadar air tembakau dipengaruhi oleh operator yang belum kompeten, metode kerja yang tidak sesuai SOP, koordinasi antar bagian yang lemah, kualitas bahan baku yang tidak sesuai spesifikasi, teknologi mesin yang kurang memadai, serta alat ukur yang belum tervalidasi. Estimasi kerugian kualitas per pack akibat variasi kadar air sebesar Rp221.692 atau Rp14.188.288 selama periode produksi tembakau jenis RMDR-23-UCT, yang menunjukkan adanya kerugian tersembunyi akibat variasi proses. Usulan perbaikan difokuskan pada penetapan SOP dan WI yang lebih spesifik serta pelatihan karyawan.

Process Green Leaf Threshing (GLT) is an important stage in the tobacco processing industry which functions to separate the leaves from the stems and regulate the water content for the process ageing. PT. X, as a tobacco processing service provider, is facing problems in the GLT process line threshing, where about 6% of 8800 pack. The product does not meet the moisture content specifications, thus reducing the quality of the tobacco and causing financial losses due to rework. This is the basis of this study, which aims to evaluate quality variations through EWMA maps and GLT process capabilities, as well as estimate the financial impact of variations in tobacco moisture content using the quality loss function. The results show that the GLT process in line threshing not yet capable, with poor precision and accuracy. The discrepancy in tobacco water content is influenced by incompetent operators, work methods that do not comply with SOPs, weak coordination between departments, raw material quality that does not meet specifications, inadequate machine technology, and measuring instruments that have not been validated. Estimated quality loss per pack due to variations in water content of Rp221.692 or Rp14.188,288 during the production period of RMDR-23-UCT type tobacco, which indicates hidden losses due to process variations. Proposed improvements are focused on establishing more specific SOP and WI as well as employee training.
