Abstract

Selama 350 tahun masa kolonial Belanda, pemerintahan belanda banyak mempengaruhi gaya hidup masyarakat Indonesia, gaya tersebut kemudian dikenal dengan nama gaya indis. Gaya indis yang tercermin pada arsitektur peninggalan kolonial Belanda, dinamakan dengan gaya arsitektur indis. Arsitektur indis merupakan percampuran antara budaya Belanda (Eropa) dengan budaya Jawa (lokal) yang terjadi akibat proses akulturasi yang panjang. (Prof. Dr. Djoko Soekirman, 2000). Museum Zoologi Bogor yang terletak di kota Bogor merupakan salah satu peninggalan bersejarah kolonial Belanda yang memiliki gaya arsitektur indis. Museum Zoologi Bogor kerap dijadikan objek penelitian oleh mahasiswa baik dari segi produk hingga segi arsitektur. Oleh karena itu Museum Zoologi Bogor memiliki potensi untuk menjadi konten edukasi bagi mahasiswa arsitektur mengenai gaya arsitektur indis pada bangunan bersejarah kota Bogor. Media pembelajaran mengenai gaya arsitektur indis yang ada berupa buku, artikel, dan video eksplanasi. Pada era digital ini, video eksplanasi dengan konten edukasi 2D (dua-dimensi) sangat diminati dikarenakan visual yang menarik dan mudah dipahami, serta keleluasaan membagikan dan mengakses konten. Sehingga penggunaan video eksplanasi sebagai media edukasi dinilai efektif. Saat ini video eksplanasi tentang gaya arsitektur indis yang ada secara visual kurang menarik audiens dan penyampaiannya cenderung monoton. Oleh karena itu diperlukan media pembelajaran gaya arsitektur indis pada Museum Zoologi Bogor yang menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh mahasiswa arsitektur. Pada perancangan dilakukan tinjauan hasil desain terdahulu untuk mendapatkan referensi mengenai aspek-aspek sebuah video eksplanasi, tinjauan pustaka konten untuk mendapatkan referensi isi konten, dan tinjauan teori desain untuk mendapatkan referensi tentang ilmu DKV (Desain Komunikasi Visual) yang berkaitan dengan perancangan. Perancangan ini menggunakan riset eksperimental sebagai tahap proses pembuatan konsep desain mulai dari pembuatan naskah hingga prototipe full, observasi sebagai tahap pengumpulan data, dan depth interview sebagai tahap validasi data oleh narasumber ahli. Perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan video eksplanasi 2D tentang gaya arsitektur indis pada Museum Zoologi Bogor, dan menambah pengetahuan mengenai gaya arsitektur indis pada bangunan peninggalan bersejarah kolonial Belanda di Kota Bogor, khususnya untuk mahasiswa jurusan arsitektur

During the 350 years of the Dutch colonial period, the Dutch government greatly influenced the lifestyle of the Indonesian people, this style became known as the indies style. The indies style which is reflected in the architecture of the Dutch colonial heritage, is called the indies architectural style. Indies architecture is a mixture of Dutch (European) culture with Javanese (local) culture that occurred as a result of a long acculturation process (Prof. Dr. Djoko Soekirman, 2000). The Bogor Zoological Museum, which is located in the city of Bogor, is one of the historical relics of the Dutch colonial which has an indies architectural style. The Bogor Zoological Museum is often used as an object of research by students, both in aspects of product dan in aspects of architecture. Therefore, the Bogor Zoological Museum has the potential to become educational content for architecture students about indies architectural styles in historic buildings in the city of Bogor. In the present, educational media regarding the indies architectural style exist in the form of books, articles, and explainer videos. In this digital era, explainer videos with 2D (two-dimensional) educational content are in great favor due to attractive and easy-to-understand visuals, as well as the freedom to share and access content. So that the use of an explainer video as an educational media is considered effective. Currently, the explainer videos about the indies architectural style that exist is visually less attractive to audience and the delivery tends to be monotonous. Therefore there is a need to have an educational media about the indies architectural style of Bogor Zoological Museum that is interesting and easy-to-understand by architecture students. In the design process, a review of previous designs was carried out to obtain references on aspects of an explainer video, a content literature review to obtain references for the content, and design theory references to obtain the knowledge of Visual Communication Design (DKV) related to design. This design process uses experimental research as a stage of the design concept-making process starting from script creation to full prototypes, observation as the data collection stage, and depth interviews as the data validation stage by expert sources. This design process is expected to produce a 2D explainer video about the indies architectural style at the Bogor Zoological Museum, and increase knowledge about the indies architectural style in Dutch colonial heritage buildings in Bogor city, especially for students majoring in architecture.
