Abstract
Untuk mendapatkan mapping performa mesin yang dikenal dengan bentuk diagram telur maka dilakukan suatu upaya penelitian dengan cara mengatur jumlah bahan bakar yang masuk ke dalam ruang bakar. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian di Laboratorium Motor Bakar Teknik Mesin ITS menggunakan mesin 4 langkah Mahator 107 cc dengan memvariasikan diameter main jet, taper jarum skep dan posisi clip jarum skep pada karburator. Main jet yang digunakan yaitu main jet 72 ( standar) dengan diameter 0.72 mm, main jet 75 dengan diameter 0.75 mm, main jet 78 dengan diameter 0.78 mm, main jet 80 dengan diameter 0.80 mm dan main jet 82 dengan diameter 0.82 mm. Sedangkan taper jarum skep yang digunakan yaitujarum skep taper 1.15 (standar), jarum skep taper 1.69, jarum skep taper 1.55, jarum skep taper 0.75 dan jarum skep taper 0.33, dan posisi clip jarum skep semuanya digunakan pada pengambilan data. Setelah melakukan analisa data yang diperoleh dari pengujian, maka didapatkan mapping performa mesin berbentuk diagram telur dengan konsumsi bahan bakar spesiflk yang irit yaitu 0.203 Kg/hp.Jam pada putaran berkisar 5000 rpm sampai dengan 6000 rpm dengan bmep berkisar 830 kPa

To obtain engine performance mapping known as the egg diagram, a research effort was carried out by regulating the amount of fuel entering the combustion chamber. For this purpose, research was conducted at the ITS Mechanical Engineering Combustion Engine Laboratory using a 107 cc Mahator 4-stroke engine by varying the main jet diameter, skep needle taper and skep needle clip position on the carburetor. The main jets used were main jet 72 (standard) with a diameter of 0.72 mm, main jet 75 with a diameter of 0.75 mm, main jet 78 with a diameter of 0.78 mm, main jet 80 with a diameter of 0.80 mm and main jet 82 with a diameter of 0.82 mm. Meanwhile, the needle tapers used were 1.15 taper needle (standard), 1.69 taper needle, 1.55 taper needle, 0.75 taper needle and 0.33 taper needle, and the position of the needle clip were all used in data collection. After analyzing the data obtained from the test, the engine performance mapping was obtained in the form of an egg diagram with a specific fuel consumption that is economical, namely 0.203 Kg/hp.H at a rotation ranging from 5000 rpm to 6000 rpm with a bmep ranging from 830 kPa
