Abstract

Co-working space (ruang bersama) merupakan sebuah konsep tempat dimana bertemunya individu-individu yang mempunyai latar belakang yang berbeda-beda berkumpul untuk bekerja di dalam suatu tempat yang sama. Istilah co-working space sendiri mengacu pada kata ‘co-working’ yang bermakna bekerja bersama-sama atau berkolaborasi. Tren coworking-space yang menyebar hampir di seluruh dunia dipengaruhi oleh semakin berkembangnya teknologi yang mengubah gaya kerja manusia. Salah satu elemen penting pada co-working space adalah furniture yang merupakan kebutuhan wajib dalam suatu ruangan. Pengguna dan pengunjung coworking-space memiliki beragam latar belakang pekerjaan dengan kebutuhan aktivitas dan durasi bekerja yang berbeda-beda. Karena itu dibutuhkan furniture yang dapat memfasilitasi pengguna dari kebutuhan dan aktivitasnya. Desain yang dikembangkan adalah berdasarkan riset yang dilakukan di area ruang semi-outdoor EJSC Kabupaten Bojonegoro. EJSC merupakan wadah kolaborasi pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur dengan Bakorwil di beberapa daerah dengan membangun fasilitas co-working space. Proses pengembangan desain dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data literatur, observasi, shadowing dan interview user. Hasil pengumpulan data tersebut kemudian diolah untuk mendapatkan permasalahan dan kebutuhan sehingga didapatkan sebuah solusi yang efektif. Konsep yang didapat diharapkan mampu untuk menunjang aktivitas pengguna coworking-space khususnya pengunjung yang bekerja di area semi-outdoor EJSC Bojonegoro agar pengunjung merasa nyaman bekerja sambil beraktivitas lain di area tersebut. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah desain satu set meja dan kursi modular yang digunakan untuk kegiatan bekerja dengan fitur-fitur penyimpanan barang bawaan, tempat minum, listrik panel dan system stacking. Furnitur didesain dengan bentuk yang compact dan Flexible sehingga pengunjung dapat dengan mudah mengkonfigurasikan dan menata layout furnitur pada luas area kerja yang terbatas.

Abstract—Co-working space is a concept of a place where individuals who have different backgrounds gather to work in the same place. The term co-working space itself refers to the word 'co-working' which means working together or collaborating. The coworking-space trend that spreads almost all over the world is influenced by the development of technology that changes human work styles. This trend is increasingly supported by pandemic conditions that force humans to interact with digital media, especially at work. One of the important elements in a co-working space is furniture which is a mandatory requirement in a room. Coworking-space users and visitors have various work backgrounds with different activity needs and work durations. Therefore, furniture is needed that can facilitate users from their needs and activities. The design developed is based on research conducted in the EJSC semi-outdoor area of Bojonegoro Regency. EJSC is a forum for collaboration between the East Java Provincial Government and Bakorwil in several areas by building co-working space facilities. The design development process is carried out by collecting literature data, observation, shadowing and user interviews. The results of data collection are then processed to obtain problems and needs so that an effective solution is obtained. The concept obtained is expected to be able to support the activities of coworking-space users, especially visitors who work in the semi-outdoor area of EJSC Bojonegoro so that visitors feel comfortable working while doing other activities in the area.
