Abstract

Pusat perbelanjaan daerah berperan penting dalam menunjang kesejahteraan masyarakat karena didalamnya terdapat aktifitas interaksi ekonomi dan sosial. Perkembangan sektor perdagangan merupakan salah satu bidang yang potensial dalam menunjang perekonomian daerah. Shopping Centre Jepara merupakan pusat perbelanjaan yang dikelola oleh Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Jepara yang dimaksud untuk memfasilitasi para penjual melalui penyediaan tempat jual beli yang terletak di tengah pusat kota. Shopping Centre Jepara memiliki keunikan dan nilai historisnya tersendiri, namun, seiring berkembangnya zaman, Shopping Centre Jepara membutuhkan inovasi baru yang dapat mempertahankan eksistensinya dalam memperkuat image kawasan serta meningkatkan fungsinya sebagai salah satu sarana perputaran perekonomian daerah. Berangkat dari permasalahan peran pusat perbelanjaan dan kaitannya dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi serta permasalahan image kawasan, Shopping Centre Jepara membutuhkan upaya revitalisasi atau penghidupan kembali dengan menggunakan konsep rekreatif berbudaya sebagai penunjang keberhasilan upaya revitalisasi tersebut. Harapannya Shopping Centre Jepara dapat menjadi pusat perbelanjaan daerah yang dapat dinikmati seluruh lapisan masyarakat dan mendukung sektor perdagangan Kabupaten Jepara. Penerapan konsep ini menghadirkan aktifitas dan fasilitas baru yang didasari oleh kebutuhan pengguna, seperti adanya restoran terbuka, area pamer atau showroom, dan foodcourt atau pujasera. Melalui konsep rekreatif berbudaya, pusat perbelanjaan tidak hanya menjadi sebuah tempat berbelanja namun dapat juga sebagai tempat berekreasi guna menghilangkan penat serta sebagai sarana branding kekayaan daerah.

Regional Shopping Centers have an important rule in supporting the welfare community because of the economic and social interaction activities. The development of the trade sector is one of the potential fields in supporting the regional economy. Shopping Center Jepara is a regional shopping center managed by the Department of Industry and Trade of Jepara Regency which is intended to facilitate sellers through the provision of buying and selling places located in the center of the town. Shopping Center Jepara has its own uniqueness and historical value, however, along with the times, Shopping Center Jepara needs new innovations that can maintain its existence in strengthening the image of the region and increasing its function as a means of turning the regional economy. Departing from the problem of the role of shopping centers and their relation to economic growth and regional image problems, Shopping Centre Jepara requires revitalization efforts using the neo vernacular concept as a support for the success of the revitalization efforts. This revitalization activity with the neo vernacular concept uses a customer behavior approach as it is the most vital role in market activities. The hope is that the Shopping Centre Jeparacan become a regional shopping center that can be enjoyed by all levels of society and supports the trade sector of Jepara Regency. The application of this concept presents new activities and facilities based on user needs, such as open-air restaurants, exhibition areas or showrooms, and food courts. Through the concept of cultural recreation, shopping centers are not only a place to shop but can also be a place for recreation to relieve fatigue and as a means of branding regional wealth.
