Abstract
Perpustakaan menjadi salah satu komponen pendukung dalam bidang pendidikan, karena memiliki banyak jenis koleksi - koleksi buku mulai dari koleksi umum maupun koleksi khusus atau kearsipan yang harus dilestarikan. Menurut hasil wawancara Staff dan Kepala Bidang Seksi Pelayanan, perpustakaan nasional dan perpustakaan daerah provinsi sesuai rencana strategisnya yaitu Perpustakaan sebagai pengembangan ekonomi secara sosial berdasarkan kearifan lokal. Dimana hal tersebut berarti selain dapat berkembang dalam bidang pendidikan, perpustakaan juga dapat berkembang dalam hal perekonomian, sosial dan budaya sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pembentukan generasi yang optimal. Beberapa permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi oleh Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur yaitu identitas lokal perpustakaan, pembagian zona ruang dan pemanfaatan ruang yang kurang maksimal sehingga pemustaka yang datang tidak terpenuhi kapasitasnya untuk datang ke Perpustakaan tersebut. Pengaruh globalisasi juga menyebabkan kehadiran teknologi informasi yang cepat berkembang, apalagi pada generasi saat ini. Mudahnya konektivitas, membuat generasi saat ini seperti generasi Z dan Y melakukan kolaborasi dalam setiap aktivitasnya. Ditengah kebutuhan ruang yang meningkat, peran perpustakaan diharapkan mampu bertransformasi sebagai public space yang berfungsi sebagai co-working area, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan relasi. Indonesia pernah dihadapkan dengan keadaan yang sangat ironi tentang minat baca. Kala itu, Indonesia punya permasalahan soal akses terhadap buku yang tidak menjangkau wilayah yang luas. Namun, tidak melulu Indonesia mengalami minat baca yang rendah, faktanya setelah pandemic dalam hasil survei The Digital Reader 2020, minat baca Indonesia diketahui meningkat bahkan mampu mengungguli Amerika Serikat. Melihat fenomena diatas, maka transformasi perpustakaan sebagai co-working space dan unsur budaya lokal bisa dikembangkan sebagai daya dukung ruang aktivitas baru untuk kebutuhan masyarakat sekaligus branding untuk perpustakaan daerah. Metode yang dipakai yaitu observasi langsung, wawancara, kuesioner dan studi pembanding dan studi literatur terkait objek Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Konsep Re-Design Interior Dinas Perpustakaan Dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur Berkonsep Modern Space Dengan Sentuhan Budaya Jawa Timur disinyalir sebagai jawaban dan solusi saat ini yaitu dengan merencanakan kebutuhan Fasilitas, sarana dan prasarana yang lebih mumpuni bagi para pemustaka dan masyarakat luas

The library is one of the supporting components in the field of education, because it has many types of book collections from general to special collections or archives that must be preserved. According to the results of the interview with Staff and Head of the Library Service Section, the national library and the provincial library are in accordance with their strategic plan as a social economic development based on local identity. Where this means that apart from being able to develop in the field of education, libraries can also develop in terms of economy, social and culture so that they can influence the formation of an optimal generation. Some of the problems that are being faced by the Office of the Library and Archives of East Java Province are the local identity of the library, the division of space zones and the less than optimal use of space so that the capacity for visitors who come to the library is not fulfilled. The globalization has also led to the presence of rapidly developing information technology, especially in the current generation. Easier connectivity makes the current generation such as Z and Y generations collaborate in every activity. Amid increasing space requirements, the role of the library is expected to be able to transform into a public space that functions as a co-working area, to meet the needs of relations. Indonesia was once faced with a very ironic situation regarding the low literacy rate. At that time, Indonesia had problems with access to books that did not cover a wide area. However, not only does Indonesia experience low literacy rate, in fact after the pandemic in the results of The Digital Reader 2020 survey, Indonesia's literacy rate are known to increase and even surpass the United States. Seeing the phenomenon before, the transformation of the library as a co-working space and elements of local culture can be developed as the carrying capacity of new activity spaces for community needs as well as branding for regional libraries. The methods used are direct observation, interviews, questionnaires and comparative studies and literature studies related to the objects of the East Java Provincial Library and Archives Service. The concept of Re-Design Interior Service Of East Java Province Of Library And Archives With Modern Space Concept With a Touch Of East Java Culture is allegedly the answer and the current solution, namely by planning the needs of more qualified facilities, facilities and infrastructure for users and the wider community.
