Abstract

Suatu Sekolah Dasar tentu tidaklah lepas dari fasilitas penunjang, khususnya adalah fasilitas sarana pra-sarana berupa gedung sekolah yang sangat berperan sebagai tempat utama dalam proses belajar mengajar. Gedung sekolah tentunya mencakup ruang kelas yang mana merupakan ruang utama dimana proses pembelajaran dilangsungkan, tetapi ruang kelas disini haruslah didesain dengan nyaman sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelajar dan tenaga pendidik agar dapat meingkatkan produktivitas dan dan meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar. Masalahnya kebanyakan sekolah dewasa ini, belum memperhatikan aspek kenyaman dalam desain ruang kelas, seperti belum memperhatikan desain furniture yang memenuhi ergonomic pengguna, kurangnya penghawaan dan pencahayaan pada ruang, dan sebagainya. sehingga banyak siswa yang sering merasa bosan, atau kehilangan minat ketika belajar. Hal itu pun terjadi di SDIT Permata Ummat Trenggalek. Yang merupakan sekolah islam swasta yang berbasis fullday school tentunya perlu memperhatikan aspek kenyamanan pada rung kelas. Permasalahan pada SDIT Permata Ummat sendiri salah satunya memiliki ruang kelas yang terkesan sempit dengan kapasitas murid yang banyak. Kemudian suasana kelas juga terkesan monoton dan belum menunjang kenyamanan bagi anak ketika pembelajaran. Maka dalam hal ini diperlukan suatu solusi dalam memecahkan permasalahan tersebut melalui pendekatan disiplin ilmu desain interior. Diperlukan sebuah inovasi yang mana harapannya dapat menjawab permasalahan tersebut.

An elementary school certainly cannot be separated from supporting facilities, especially infrastructure facilities in the form of school buildings which play a very important role as the main place in the teaching and learning process. The school building certainly includes a classroom which is the main room where the learning process takes place, but the classroom here must be designed comfortably according to the needs of students and educators in order to increase productivity and increase student interest in learning. The problem is that most schools today have not paid attention to the comfort aspect in classroom design, such as not paying attention to furniture design that meets user ergonomics, lack of ventilation and lighting in the room, and so on. so that many students often feel bored, or lose interest when studying. This also happened at SDIT Permata Ummat Trenggalek. Which is a private Islamic school based on a full day school, of course, it needs to pay attention to the comfort aspect in the classroom. One of the problems with SDIT Permata Ummat itself is that it has a class room with a minimal size according to standards but the capacity per classroom is quite large, so that the space occupancy is felt to be minimal so students feel less free when doing activities outside of classroom learning activities. So in this case we need a solution in solving these problems through an approach to interior design disciplines. An innovation is needed which is expected to be able to answer these problems
