Abstract

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is a recreational facility that aims to preserve the cultural wealth owned by the Indonesian people in the form of a 150-hectare park located in East Jakarta. TMII has been established since the reign of President Soeharto and has now undergone a change of management since the issuance of a Presidential Decree by President Jokowi. The management which was originally held by YHK (Yayasan Harapan Kita) and Mrs. Tien Soeharto has now turned to the Indonesian state government. This proves that as a staterun park, TMII must have quality in accordance with academic standards, one of which is in terms of environmental graphic design. The design will be done by identifying the problem first, so we need a research method to support the design process. The method used is direct observation, in-depth interviews with stakeholders, interviews with experts/experts, conducting a comparator study to reference studies of similar design projects. The concept built carries the theme of Indonesian cultural values in the interpretation of landscape topography with a modern visual style. The design produces outputs such as Landmarks, Marking & Signage systems, visitor circulation planning and creating an atmosphere according to the specified concept. The conclusion of the design is that the modern visual style and the application of the simplicity theme support uniformity and simplification of the park's visual system because it can facilitate the distribution of information effectively to the public.
