Abstract

Pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup dan kegiatan yang memanfaatkan tenaga alat-alat industri menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang menyebabkan pencemaran terjadi. Keberlanjutan kegiatan manusia tanpa memerhatikan kondisi lingkungan disekitarnya akan memperburuk kehidupan manusia sendiri di masa depan. Pentingnya melestarikan lingkungan yang perlu diperhatikan tersebut juga harus diimbangi dengan aspek pendidikan. Adanya edukasi terkait pelestarian lingkungan hidup penting dilakukan sejak dini. Salah satunya adalah kepada para remaja, yang diharapkan edukasi tersebut akan membantu berkembangnya kesadaran terkait menjaga dan melestarikan lingkungan hidup kedepannya. Perancangan dimulai dengan dilakukannya penjaringan pendapat terkait kebiasaan remaja beserta wawasannya terkait lingkungan hidup. Berdasarkan penjaringan pendapat, ditetapkan subyek media berupa motion comic, sebuah media bercerita yang dianggap bisa membantu menyebarluasakan pesan edukasi dengan keunggulannya dibidang audio visual. Wawancara dengan dinas atau ahli di bidang lingkungan hidup, narasi, visual, dan motion dilakukan agar mendapatkan informasi valid terkait saran edukasi yang akan disampaikan. Studi literatur sebagai riset data sekunder, serta observasi visual untuk acuan referensi visual motion comic turut dilakukan dalam tahap awal perancangan.Hasil akhir motion comic dari perancangan ini yang berbentuk media digital dan diunggah pada platform berbagi video online Youtube yang menjadi bentuk kiat kemudahan akses media. Fitur share dari Youtube akan memudahkan penyebaran motion comic yang menjadi salah satu hasil tindakan yang diharapkan ketika penonton merasa konten motion comic bermanfaat. Melalui perancangan motion comic ini diharapakan gagasan dan ajakan untuk melestarikan lingkungan bisa disampaikan melalui narasi cerita dengan visual yang menarik dan representatif.

One of the biggest contributors to pollution is the provision of basic needs and activities that make use of the power of industrial instruments. Future human life will be worsened by the sustainability of human activities without consideration for the local environmental circumstances. Both the teaching component and the significance of protecting the environment must be balanced. One of them is for teenagers, and it is hoped this education will help develop awareness regarding preserving the environment in the future. The design starts with a compilation of viewpoints concerning teenagers' lifestyle choices and environmental concerns. The theme of the media, according to the survey, is motion comics, a storytelling format that is thought to be able to aid in the dissemination of educational messages due to its benefits in the audio-visual industry. In order to gather reliable information about the educational recommendations that will be made, interviews with organizations or specialists in the disciplines of narration, motion, narration, and the environment are undertaken. Early design phases also included secondary data study on literature as well as visual observations for visual references for motion comics. The final result of the motion comic from this design is in the form of digital media, will be uploaded in free video sharing platform. One of the expected results of this action when viewers feel that motion comic content is useful. Through the design of this motion comic, it is hoped that ideas and invitations to preserve the environment can be conveyed through story narratives with attractive and representative visuals.
