Abstract
Globalisasi membuat eksistensi musik keroncong dikalangan generasi muda menurun dibandingkan genre lain, maka dari itu peran generasi muda dianggap penting untuk bisa melestarikan budaya ini sehingga musik keroncong tetap lestari. Salah satu bentuk upaya melestarikannya dengan mengetahui sejarahnya. Namun, media informasi yang membahas mengenai sejarah keroncong belum representatif terurtama untuk generasi muda. Oleh karena itu salah satu bentuk upaya dalam pelestarian musik ini adalah melalui video motion graphic mengenai sejarah keroncong Tugu dengan tujuan agar generasi muda tertarik dengan sejarah keroncong. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, studi eksisting, wawancara, kuisioner, serta studi experimental. Metode-metode ini digunakan untuk mendukung proses perancangan video motion graphic mengenai sejarah keroncong tugu. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah video motion graphic mengenai sejarah keroncong tugu untuk usia 17-25 tahun dengan durasi maksimal 15 menit yang dapat diakses melalui YouTube. Video motion ini diharapkan mampu menjadi rujukan terutama untuk generasi muda mengenai sejarah musik keroncong di Indonesia terutama keroncong tugu yang menjadi asal-mula musik keroncong di Indonesia sebagai bagian dari pelestarian budaya.

Globalization makes the existence of keroncong music among the younger generation weaken compared to other genres, therefore the role of the younger generation is considered important to be able to preserve this culture so that keroncong music remains sustainable. One form of effort to preserve it by knowing its history. However, the media information that discuss about the history of keroncong is not yet representative especially for the younger generation. One of the solutions is through a motion graphic video about the history of the Keroncong Tugu, so the younger generation are interest to history of keroncong. This design uses literature study methods, existing studies, interviews, quesionnaires, and experimental studies. These study methods are used to support the process of designing a motion graphic video regarding the history of the Keroncong Tugu. The result of this design is a motion graphic video about the history of the Keroncong Tugu for 17-25 years with a maximum duration of 15 minutes which can be accessed via Youtube. This motion video is expected to be a reference, especially for the younger generation regarding the history of keroncong music in Indonesia, especially the Keroncog Tugu which is the origin of keroncog music in Indonesia as part of cultural preservation
