Abstract

The availability of spare-part stock in auxiliary marine engine companies is a critical factor that ensures the smooth execution of service, maintenance, and customer demand fulfillment. PT X continues to face challenges such as mismatches between demand and stock availability, non-standardized document workflows, and the absence of an integrated system to manage procurement, delivery, and aftersales processes. This study develops a prototype of a stock and aftersales management application by combining the Design Thinking approach with the Scrum framework. Design Thinking is used to deeply explore user needs, while Scrum is employed to implement the solution iteratively across five structured sprints. The results include the development of automatic invoice generation, three types of Purchase Orders, an inventory lookup and reserved mechanism, item-based Order Delivery, as well as Aftersales and automatic notification modules. Final testing through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Likert scale analysis shows user acceptance levels 87.5%. Although several features could not be fully developed due to data and time limitations, the prototype is considered viable as a foundational system for the sustainable development of PT X’s operational processes.
