Abstract
Pemilihan teknologi SIW dikarenakan memiliki beberapa keunggulan dibanding

Ultra wideband is published by the US Federal Communication
Commission (FCC) approved including unlicensed frequency. This technology
has low level of EIRP (-41.3dBm / MHz), low power consumption (100 mW),
support high resolution, and accurate for millimeter orde. Some advantages of
UWB is very appropriate in application of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR),
which is a device used to detect objects below ground level using radio waves.
This study offers a compact design bandpassfilter is from 2-2.5 GHz or
has a fractional bandwidth > 20% that satifies FCC UWB GPR specifications at
mid frequency. In the design of UWB filter, the filter is realized by using the
technology Half Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide (HMSIW) with a dual
mode. SIW technology selection due to have several advantages compared with
conventional waveguide is compact, low-cost and also has a low loss
characteristic.
By simulation analysis, the designed filter has -3dB cut-off of 2 GHz and
2.5 GHz for lower and higher cut-off frequency, respectively. Furthermore, the
fabricated UWB-BPF is examined through measurement analysis. The
measurement analysis shows that the fabricated UWB-BPF has cut-off of 1.93
GHz and 2.55 GHz for lower and higher cut-off frequency .
