Abstract
Maraknya proyek konstruksi di berbagai daerah menandakan bahwa sektor konstruksi saat ini sedang berkembang dengan pesat, namun dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat masalah yang kerap muncul, yaitu sisa material atau waste material. Waste material konstruksi yang pengendalian atau pemanfaatannya tidak direncanakan dengan baik dapat merugikan proyek dan merusak kelestarian lingkungan. Diperlukan analisis mengenai waste material pada proyek konstruksi untuk mengidentifikasi jenis waste material, besar kerugian yang diakibatkan, serta faktor penyebabnya agar timbulnya waste material dapat diminimalisir dengan melakukan penanganan yang tepat. Analisis penanganan waste material konstruksi dilakukan pada Proyek Pembangunan Gedung Utama RS Sariningsih. Dalam penelitian ini, waste cost dari material dengan kuantitas waste besar dihitung untuk mengetahui jumlah kerugian pembelian akibat waste material. Setelah itu dilakukan analisis lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui faktor penyebabnya menggunakan metode fishbone diagram. Selanjutnya, disusun upaya penanganannya berdasarkan konsep waste material management hierarchy. Identifikasi faktor penyebab dan upaya penanganan waste material dilakukan berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu kemudian divalidasi dan dikembangkan melalui wawancara terhadap narasumber. Dari hasil analisis, diketahui jenis material yang menghasilkan kuantitas waste yang besar adalah bata beton ringan, besi tulangan D10, besi tulangan D13, granite tile 60x60 polished, granite tile 60x60 unpolished, dan plesteran. Waste cost yang dihasilkan dari material tersebut sebesar Rp. 50.028.520,58. Waste material tersebut muncul dikarenakan faktor manpower yaitu kesalahan pekerja, management yaitu kesalahan pihak manajemen, method yaitu kesalahan metode penyimpanan, design yaitu desain yang rumit, dan mother nature yaitu cuaca yang kurang baik. Upaya penanganan yang dapat dilakukan untuk meminimalisir serta mengelola waste material adalah dengan menerapkan konsep waste material management hierarchy yang terdiri atas reduce yaitu upaya pencegahan dan pengurangan, reuse yaitu upaya penggunaan kembali, stored yaitu upaya penyimpanan, reselling yaitu upaya penjualan kepada pengepul barang bekas, return yaitu upaya pengembalian, recycle yaitu upaya daur ulang, dan disposal yaitu pembuangan.

The rampant construction projects in various regions signify that, currently, the construction sectors are growing swiftly, but there is a common problem that arises in its implementation, which is waste material. Uncontrolled and improper utilization of waste construction material can harm the project and damage the environment sustainability. Hence, an analysis of waste material in construction projects is entailed to identify the type of waste material and the amount of losses due to the purchases of waste material, as well as the factors which bring it to the surface. Therefore, the existence of waste material can be minimized through the proper endeavor of management. The waste construction material handling analysis was carried out at the main building of Sariningsih Hospital. In this research, the waste cost of materials with large quantities of waste is calculated to determine the amount of purchase losses due to waste material. After that, further analysis was conducted so the causal factors can be unveiled using the fishbone diagram method. Subsequently, the handling efforts are arranged based on the concept of waste material management hierarchy. The identification of waste material's causal factors and handling efforts are performed based on prior research and followed by interviews with experts. According to the results of the analysis, it is known that the types of materials that produce large quantities of waste are lightweight concrete brick, D10 reinforcing steel, D13 reinforcing steel, 60x60 polished granite tiles, 60x60 unpolished granite tiles, and plastering. Waste cost that is generated from these materials is Rp. 50.028.520,58. Waste material arises due to manpower factor, namely workers’s error, management factor, namely the fault of the management, method factor, which is the error in the storage method, design factor, namely complex design, and mother nature factor, namely the unfavorable weather. Handling efforts that can be done to minimize and manage waste material is to apply the concept waste material management hierarchy consisting of reduce or prevention, reuse, stored, reselling it to the collectors of used goods, returning the excess material, recycle, and disposal.
