Abstract

Perencanaan dilakukan melalui tahapan studi literatur, preliminary design, perencanaan struktur sekunder, analisis pembebanan, pemodelan dan analisis struktur, desain struktur utama, kontrol stabilitas aerodinamis, analisis staging, perencanaan bangunan bawah, hingga penyusunan gambar rencana.

Bridges as interregional connectors must be designed by considering aspects of strength, stability, efficiency, and aesthetics. The Aik Bari IV Bridge, located in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, has a total length of approximately 240 meters and currently employs a steel truss structural system with several piers positioned within the river channel. This condition is considered less optimal as it reduces the effective flow width of the river, increases the potential for local scour around the foundations, and does not fully satisfy aesthetic requirements. To overcome these issues, a modification to a cable-stayed bridge with a two-inclined-plane semi-harp system is proposed. In this system, the continuous girder is supported by inclined cables connected to the pylon as the primary load-resisting element. The semi-harp cable configuration is selected to improve load distribution, lateral stiffness, and architectural value, while the girder utilizes a steel orthotropic trapezoidal box girder to reduce self-weight and enhance aerodynamic stability under wind loads. The pylon is designed as an A-frame reinforced concrete structure to optimally resist cable forces while strengthening the visual appearance of the bridge. The planning process is conducted through stages including literature review, preliminary design, secondary structure design, load analysis, structural modeling and analysis, main structure design, aerodynamic stability control, staging analysis, substructure design, and preparation of design drawings. The design results include the dimensions of the pylon, cables, bridge deck, anchorage system, sidewalks, railings, substructure components, and construction methodology. With this modification, the Aik Bari IV Bridge design is expected to produce a more efficient, safe, and aesthetically pleasing structure while supporting improved connectivity in the Samota region, Sumbawa Regency.
