Abstract
Jembatan Jurug A di Kota Surakarta merupakan infrastruktur vital yang menghubungkan wilayah Surakarta dengan Karanganyar dan menjadi bagian penting dalam jaringan transportasi Jawa Tengah. Namun, penggunaan struktur boks girder pada kondisi eksisting menimbulkan permasalahan seperti local scouring akibat adanya pilar di tengah sungai hingga effective linear waterway yang berkurang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan memodifikasi struktur Jembatan Jurug A menggunakan tipe bow string arch bridge dengan pelat orthotropic steel deck untuk menghilangkan pilar tengah dan meningkatkan efektivitas saluran air serta estetika. Proses modifikasi mencakup perencanaan geometri struktur, preliminary design, analisis beban, permodelan struktur, metode pelaksanaan konstruksi, hingga kontrol terhadap kondisi layan saat kabel putus. Desain dilakukan berdasarkan peraturan SNI, AASHTO, FHWA hingga peraturan lainnya yang terbaru. Hasil akhir berupa desain jembatan busur dengan tipe bow string arch bridge dan lantai kendaraan berupa orthotropic deck sepanjang 165 m yang diharapkan dapat menjadi inovasi terbaru bagi pembangunan jembatan bentang panjang di indonesia.

The Jurug A Bridge in Surakarta is a vital infrastructure that connects the Surakarta area with Karanganyar and serves as a crucial part of the transportation network in Central Java. However, the use of a Boks Girder structure in its current condition has led to issues such as local scouring due to the presence of a central pier in the river and a reduced effective linear waterway. Therefore, this study aims to modify the structure of the Jurug A Bridge by adopting a bowstring arch bridge with an orthotropic steel deck to eliminate the central pier and improve both the hydraulic efficiency and the aesthetic value of the bridge. The modification process includes structural geometry planning, preliminary design, load analysis, structural modeling, construction method planning, and serviceability checks in the event of cable failure. The design is based on the latest regulations and standards, including SNI, AASHTO, FHWA, and other relevant codes. The final result is a bowstring arch bridge design with a 165-meter-long orthotropic steel deck, which is expected to serve as a new innovation in the development of long-span bridges in Indonesia
