Abstract

The plastic industry is one of the sectors that has experienced significant growth in Indonesia, but it is also a major contributor to waste and greenhouse gas emissions. PT Surya Indo Plastik (SIP), as a producer of recycled plastic packaging, has implemented a Closed Loop to Cup Recycling system as a sustainability effort. However, the challenges of cost efficiency, carbon emissions and low community participation in returning plastic waste are still major obstacles. This study aims to develop a sustainable Closed Loop Supply Chain optimization model in the plastic industry by considering two main aspects: economic and environmental. This model is built using the multi-objective to minimize the total cost of production, transportation and opening recycling facilities. The study object covers the areas of East Java, the model considers actual company data as well as spatial variables and facility capacity. The results of the study are expected to be a strategic reference for companies in designing efficient and sustainable CLSC systems and to contribute to scientific literature in the field of supply chain management and sustainable industry
