Abstract

Dalam dunia produksi minyak dan gas, kontinuitas proses produksi sangat ditentukan oleh ketersediaan listrik yang berkelanjutan. Namun, tidak jarang terjadi gangguan pada sistem tenaga listrik pada suatu pabrik yang dapat mengganggu proses produksi dan menyebabkan kerugian yang tidak diinginkan. Saat ini, pengaturan relai pengaman pada pabrik perusahaan eksplorasi tersebut tidak terkoordinasi dengan baik, sehingga dikhawatirkan akan terjadi blackout pada seluruh jaringan pabrik ketika terjadi suatu gangguan. Untuk menghindari hal tersebut, diperlukan sistem proteksi yang dapat mengamankan sistem dengan cara memutus arus gangguan yang muncul pada sistem dengan ketepatan yang baik dan waktu yang cepat agar tidak menimbulkan blackout. Dalam waktu kedepan, perusahaan eksplorasi tersebut akan meningkatkan pelayanan dan kualitasnya sehingga memerlukan evaluasi terhadap sistem proteksi kelistrikannya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan evaluasi pada setting relai utama dan relai backup sehingga urutan waktu trip terkoordinasi dengan baik sesusai dengan standar IEEE 242-2001 dan diamati melalui kurva TCC (Time Current Characteristic). Pada Tugas Akhir ini, akan dibahas mengenai evaluasi koordinasi proteksi pada perusahaan eksplorasi tersebut melalui pemodelan sistem menggunakan software ETAP 21.0.1. Hasil evaluasi setting dan koordinasi proteksi arus lebih gangguan fasa dan relai arus lebih gangguan tanah ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi bagi perusahaan ini dalam melindungi sistem kelistrikan dengan tepat dan handal.

In the oil and gas production industry, the continuity of the production process is highly dependent on a sustainable power supply. However, power disturbances frequently occur in industrial power systems, potentially disrupting production processes and causing significant losses. Currently, the protection relay settings in the exploration company's plant are not well-coordinated, raising concerns about the possibility of a total blackout across the entire plant network during a fault. To prevent such incidents, a protection system is required that can isolate faults accurately and rapidly, minimizing the risk of a blackout. In the near future, the exploration company aims to enhance its services and operational quality, necessitating a thorough evaluation of its electrical protection system. Therefore, an evaluation of the primary and backup relay settings is essential to ensure proper coordination of tripping sequences in accordance with the IEEE 242-2001 standard, observed through Time Current Characteristic (TCC) curves. This study discusses the protection coordination evaluation of the exploration company through system modeling using ETAP 21.0.1 software. The evaluation results of the overcurrent protection setting and coordination for phase faults and earth-fault overcurrent relays, can serve as recommendations for the company in ensuring accurate and reliable protection of its electrical system.
