Abstract

Although the total number of registered users of the UT Connect application has reached 6,579 accounts, only 548 accounts, or approximately 8.3%, are recorded as Monthly Active Users. This substantial gap signals challenges in technology acceptance and utilization levels among users. Psychologically, this phenomenon illustrates a psychological gap between perceptions of the application's benefits and ease of use versus users' self-confidence and individual readiness to adapt to digital innovations. This study aims to analyze the levels of technology readiness and technology acceptance among UT Connect users in the heavy equipment industry using the Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model (TRAM) approach. Analysis was conducted through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM–PLS) methodology, encompassing outer model testing, inner model evaluation, and hypothesis testing to assess construct validity, reliability, and inter-construct relationships. The results demonstrate that all constructs satisfy validity and reliability criteria. Regarding technology readiness, Optimism significantly influences Perceived Usefulness, while Innovativeness, Discomfort, and Insecurity show no significant effects on either Perceived Usefulness or Perceived Ease of Use. These findings indicate that users possess adequate readiness to accept digital innovations, despite negative factors exerting no meaningful influence. In terms of technology acceptance, the variables Perceived Enjoyment, Technology Self-Efficacy, Perceived Ease of Use, and Perceived Usefulness significantly affect users' Attitude Toward Using and Actual Usage behavior. The robust relationship between Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness, coupled with positive user attitudes influencing application usage, further validates these dynamics. Overall, this research provides empirical understanding that the TRAM model effectively explains factors influencing digital application acceptance and usage, serving as a foundation for enhancing UT Connect implementation effectiveness
