Abstract
pencampuran kedua prekursor dilakukan). Serbuk logam murni Mg dan Ti
digunakan sebagai bahan dasar. Masing-masing logam dilarutkan ke dalam HCl
37%, selanjutnya ditambahkan templat PEG dengan variasi massa 0,5; 1,0; 1,5;
============================================================
The crystal analysis of MgTiO3 powders has been studied using metal
dissolved method with heat treatment process and addition PEG400, 1000 from
external mixing result. External mixing is the treatment by adding PEG before
mixing both of Mg and Ti precursors for to compare with internal mixing
(adding PEG after mixing both of Mg and Ti precursors). The pure metal
powders of Mg and Ti are used as raw material. Both of metal powder
dissolved in 37% HCl and added PEG with variation of mass such as 0,5; 1,0;
1,5; 2,0 dan 2,5 grams. Both of precursor solution are mixed for 5 hour and
then dried on temperature 105-110°C. The samples with and without PEG1000
(1,5 gr) are heated on temperature 100; 200; 300; 400; 500; and 600°C for 1
hour. The samples using variation of mass PEG400 and 1000 are calcinated on
the temperature 600°C for 1 hour. The samples which have been calcinated are
characterized using DSC-TGA and XRD. Crystallinity were analyzed using
HSP (high score plus), composition of phase were analyzed using Rietica, and
crystal size were analyzed using MAUD. The synthesis result from sample
with heat treatment process obtained the crystal decomposition of MT powder
is different between sample MT with PEG and without PEG1000. The
variation of mass PEG400 and 1000 using external mixing method produced
MT as the main phase, as well as periclase and rutil as residue phase. The
secondary phase MTO appeared on MT sample with PEG400 (1,5 gr) and
PEG1000 (1 gr).The result ensure that PEG400 and 1000 act as template and
surfactant on the process of nanocrystal MT formation using external mixing
method of PEG.
