Abstract
Sungai Sente yang terletak di Kabupaten Grobogan, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, merupakan wilayah yang rawan mengalami banjir dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Kejadian banjir tersebut menyebabkan kerusakan infrastruktur, mengganggu aktivitas masyarakat, dan menimbulkan kerugian ekonomi. Permasalahan utama yang menyebabkan banjir adalah kapasitas sungai yang rendah akibat sedimentasi yang tinggi serta kerusakan infrastruktur seperti tanggul yang jebol. Selain itu, buruknya sistem drainase dan alih fungsi lahan yang masif menyebabkan berkurangnya daerah resapan, sehingga meningkatkan volume limpasan permukaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi eksisting Sungai Sente, menghitung debit banjir rencana dan luas daerah aliran sungai (DAS), menilai kapasitas saluran terhadap debit banjir rencana, serta merumuskan solusi pengendalian banjir yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah pendekatan hidrologi dan hidrolika guna mengetahui potensi limpasan air dan kemampuan sungai dalam menyalurkan debit banjir. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas saluran Sungai Sente saat ini tidak mampu menampung debit banjir rencana, sehingga sangat berisiko menimbulkan genangan di wilayah sekitarnya. Selanjutnya, dilakukan analisis sedimentasi untuk mengetahui besar laju erosi per tahun yang terjadi di DAS Sente. Setelah ketiga pendekatan selesai selanjutnya dilakukan evaluasi penampang rencana dibandingkan dengan laju erosi. Didapatkan solusi untuk banjir di Sungai Sente berupa pelebaran sungai rata-rata 15 m dan pola pengerukan sedimen 2 tahun sekali dengan targel tebal sedimen yang dikeruk adalah 1,5 m. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam menentukan alternatif solusi terbaik dan berkelanjutan guna mengurangi risiko banjir serta mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya air yang lebih terpadu di wilayah Sungai Sente.

The Sente River, located in Grobogan Regency, Central Java Province, has become increasingly prone to flooding in recent years, causing infrastructure damage, disruption to community activities, and significant economic losses, primarily due to reduced river capacity from high sedimentation rates, damaged infrastructure such as breached levees, inadequate drainage systems, and extensive land-use changes that have decreased infiltration areas and increased surface runoff; therefore, this study aims to analyze the existing condition of the Sente River, calculate the design flood discharge and watershed area, evaluate the channel capacity against the design flood discharge, and formulate appropriate flood control measures using hydrological and hydraulic approaches, with the results showing that the current channel capacity is unable to accommodate the design flood discharge and poses a high risk of inundation in surrounding areas, while further sedimentation analysis reveals the annual erosion rate within the Sente Watershed, leading to an evaluation of the proposed river cross-section relative to erosion rates and resulting in recommended flood mitigation measures including an average river widening of 15 m and a sediment dredging program every two years with a targeted dredging depth of 1.5 m, which are expected to serve as a reference for effective and sustainable flood risk reduction and integrated water resources management in the Sente River area.
