Abstract
Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja sistem drainase Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Sringin di Kota Semarang terhadap limpasan hujan serta mengevaluasi efektivitas pengoperasian pompa dalam pengendalian genangan. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan EPA SWMM melalui simulasi hidrologi dan hidraulika dengan hujan rencana periode ulang 10 tahun dan 25 tahun, pada kondisi tanpa pompa serta dengan pengoperasian pompa berkapasitas 10 m³/s dan 25 m³/s. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan respons sistem antara periode ulang 10 tahun dan 25 tahun relatif kecil, dengan debit inflow puncak berkisar 52–55 m³/s dan volume maksimum tampungan tanpa pompa sebesar 46–47% dari kapasitas storage. Pengoperasian pompa 10 m³/s telah mampu mengendalikan elevasi muka air agar tetap berada di bawah elevasi tampungan penuh, sedangkan pompa 25 m³/s hanya mempercepat proses pengosongan tanpa peningkatan kinerja yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, periode ulang 10 tahun dengan kapasitas pompa 10 m³/s direkomendasikan sebagai dasar desain yang paling efektif dan efisien, sementara periode ulang 25 tahun digunakan sebagai skenario evaluasi kondisi ekstrem.

This study analyzes the performance of the urban drainage system in the Sringin Watershed, Semarang City, in response to rainfall runoff and evaluates the effectiveness of pump operation for flood mitigation. The analysis was conducted using EPA SWMM through hydrologic and hydraulic simulations under design storms with 10-year and 25-year return periods, considering scenarios without pumps and with pump capacities of 10 m³/s and 25 m³/s. The simulation results indicate that the system response for the 10-year and 25-year return periods is relatively similar, with peak inflow discharges ranging from 52 to 55 m³/s and maximum storage volumes without pumps reaching 46–47% of total storage capacity. The operation of a 10 m³/s pump is sufficient to maintain the water level below the full storage elevation, while a 25 m³/s pump mainly accelerates the drainage process without providing a significant improvement in overall system performance. Therefore, the 10-year return period combined with a pump capacity of 10 m³/s is recommended as the most effective and efficient design basis, whereas the 25-year return period is more appropriate for evaluating extreme conditions.
