Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pesatnya perkembangan Teknologi Informasi (TI) telah membawa perubahan yang signifikan dalam cara organisasi menjalankan operasional bisnisnya. Salah satu penerapan teknologi informasi yang banyak diadopsi oleh organisasi, khususnya di sektor pendidikan tinggi, adalah digitalisasi dalam pemodelan proses bisnis. Permasalahan: Namun, dalam proses implementasinya, tidak jarang ditemukan berbagai inefisiensi seperti redudansi aktivitas dan titik macet dalam proses bisnis. Tugas akhir ini mengangkat permasalahan mengenai inefisiensi pada proses bisnis program Magang di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember yang ditujukan bagi mahasiswa Strata 1 dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam proses. Tujuan: Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi secara detail komponen-komponen dalam proses bisnis tersebut serta menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya inefisiensi yang diikuti dengan pemodelan rancangan ulang dan rekomendasi terhadap proses bisnis tersebut. Metode: Dalam mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis permasalahan ini, digunakan pendekatan Heuristic Design pada perancangan model digital dengan menggunakan Business Process Model and Notation pada SAP Signavio. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk memahami hubungan antara peristiwa, aktivitas, titik keputusan, aktor, objek, dan hasil pada keseluruhan proses bisnis. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai tambah, analisis pemangku kepentingan, dan analisis akar penyebab, rekomendasi perbaikan proses bisnis disusun menggunakan pendekatan heuristic redesign yang mencakup aspek antarmuka, integrasi, otomasi, perubahan urutan aktivitas, dan penambahan sumber daya. Selanjutnya, diberikan prosedur untuk setiap kasus pada proses administrasi magang menggunakan Case Management Model and Notation serta Business Process Model and Notation To-Be sebagai gambaran rancang ulang proses bisnis. Selain itu, telah dibuat beberapa usulan tampilan yang direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan pada proses bisnis administrasi magang mandiri Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember.Manfaat: Penelitian ini memberikan dua manfaat utama, yaitu manfaat teoritis dan praktis. Dari sisi teoritis, penelitian ini akan memperkaya literatur ilmiah terutama terkait redesain dan optimasi proses bisnis pada perguruan tinggi. Dari sisi praktis, penelitian ini menghasilkan rekomendasi strategis bagi organisasi untuk mengevaluasi proses bisnis Magang Berdampak.

Background: The rapid development of Information Technology (IT) has brought significant changes in the way organizations run their business operations. IT is now a very important foundation, or even the main foundation for some organizations, in increasing effectiveness, efficiency, and maintaining the existence of the organization in an increasingly competitive business environment. One of the applications of information technology that is widely adopted by organizations, especially in the higher education sector, is digitalization in business process modeling. Problem: However, in the implementation process, it is not uncommon to find various inefficiencies such as activity redundancies and bottlenecks in the business process. This final project raises the issue of inefficiency in the business process of the Impact Internship program at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology which is intended for undergraduate students and other stakeholders in the process. Objective: The main focus of this study is to identify in detail the components in the business process and analyze the factors that cause inefficiencies followed by redesigning the business process. Method: To identify and analyze this problem, a digital model design approach is used using the Business Process Model and Notation on SAP Signavio. This approach allows researchers to understand the relationship between events, activities, decision points, actors, objects, and results in the entire business process. Results: Based on the results of the value-added analysis, stakeholder analysis, and root cause analysis, recommendations for business process improvements were compiled using a heuristic redesign approach that includes aspects of interface, integration, automation, changes in activity sequences, and additional resources. Furthermore, procedures are provided for each case in the internship administration process using the Case Management Model and Notation and the Business Process Model and Notation To-Be as an illustration of the business process redesign. In addition, several proposed displays have been made that are recommended to be applied to the independent internship administration business process at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology.
