Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan PDCA System, sebuah sistem informasi internal yang digunakan untuk mendukung Program Continuous Improvement (CI) di PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor pertambangan mineral dan batubara. Evaluasi kinerja tahun 2024 menunjukkan bahwa sistem belum optimal dalam beberapa indikator utama, seperti rendahnya jumlah pengguna aktif, tingkat penyelesaian proyek CI yang belum maksimal, tingkat kepuasan pengguna yang rendah, serta seringnya terjadi bug pada sistem. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, digunakan pendekatan Agile Project Management yang bersifat iteratif, adaptif, dan berpusat pada pengguna. Proses penelitian mencakup analisis kebutuhan pengguna, perancangan ulang sistem, pengembangan berbasis Agile melalui beberapa sprint, serta evaluasi akhir sistem secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Setelah implementasi, sistem menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan: jumlah pengguna aktif meningkat dari 32 menjadi 58 orang per bulan (kenaikan 81%), tingkat penyelesaian proyek CI naik dari 74% menjadi 92%, skor rata-rata kepuasan pengguna (berdasarkan User Experience Questionnaire) meningkat dari 1,41 menjadi 1,68 (melebihi target 1,5), dan rata-rata bug turun dari 7 menjadi 2 per bulan (di bawah ambang batas 5). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa PDCA System yang telah dikembangkan memiliki peningkatan dalam hal kemudahan penggunaan, efisiensi, dan keandalan teknis, sehingga lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam mendukung pelaksanaan CI di seluruh organisasi.

This research aims to develop the PDCA System, an internal information system used to support the Continuous Improvement (CI) Program at PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk, a company operating in the mineral and coal mining sector. Performance evaluation in 2024 indicated that the system was underperforming across several key indicators, such as low active user rates, incomplete CI project execution, low user satisfaction, and frequent bugs. To address these issues, the Agile Project Management approach was adopted due to its iterative, adaptive, and user-centered characteristics. The research process consisted of user needs analysis, system redesign, Agile-based development in multiple sprints, and final system evaluation using both qualitative and quantitative measures. After implementation, the system demonstrated significant improvements: the number of active users increased from 32 to 58 per month (an 81% increase), the CI project completion rate rose from 74% to 92%, the average user satisfaction score (measured using the User Experience Questionnaire) improved from 1.41 to 1.68 (exceeding the target of 1.5), and the average number of bugs decreased from 7 to 2 per month (below the threshold of 5). These results indicate that the redesigned PDCA System has enhanced usability, efficiency, and technical reliability, thus supporting CI implementation more effectively and sustainably across the organization.
