Abstract

Pembangunan Jalan Tol Semarang–Demak Seksi 1A yang melintasi kawasan tambak pesisir menghadapi permasalahan geoteknik berupa tanah dasar lempung sangat lunak dengan daya dukung rendah dan pemampatan besar. Untuk menjaga kelancaran lalu lintas Jalan Nasional Pantura pada STA 1+248–STA 1+328, direncanakan pelebaran jalan selebar 3,0 m dengan tinggi timbunan akhir 4,65 m menggunakan pasir urug (γ = 1,9 ton/m³, ϕ = 25°, c = 0). Pengendalian pemampatan dilakukan melalui metode preloading yang dikombinasikan dengan Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) pola bujur sangkar dengan spasi 0,8 m, serta perkuatan lateral berupa sheet pile dengan panjang total 25 m. Sementara itu, pada STA 1+444–STA 1+578 yang berada di area reklamasi tambak dan memerlukan timbunan lantai kerja di atas tanah sangat lunak hingga kedalaman ±37 m, direncanakan alternatif timbunan ringan 100% EPS geofoam sebagai pengganti struktur pier kolom. Timbunan EPS geofoam dengan tinggi 14,35 m menggunakan EPS tipe 22 (γ = 0,0216 ton/m³, ϕ = 20°, c = 0) dinilai mampu mengurangi beban tanah secara signifikan, meningkatkan stabilitas, serta meminimalkan risiko pemampatan jangka panjang.

The construction of the Semarang–Demak Toll Road Section 1A, which passes through coastal fishpond areas, faces geotechnical challenges in the form of very soft clay subsoil with low bearing capacity and high settlement potential. To maintain smooth traffic flow along the Pantura National Road at STA 1+248–STA 1+328, a road widening of 3.0 m is planned with a final embankment height of 4.65 m using sand fill (γ = 1.9 ton/m³, ϕ = 25°, c = 0). Settlement control is implemented through a preloading method combined with Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD) arranged in a square pattern with a spacing of 0.8 m, as well as lateral reinforcement in the form of sheet piles with a total length of 25 m. Meanwhile, at STA 1+444–STA 1+578, which is located in a reclaimed fishpond area and requires a working platform embankment over very soft soil to a depth of approximately 37 m, an alternative lightweight embankment using 100% EPS geofoam is proposed as a replacement for the pier column structure. The EPS geofoam embankment, with a height of 14.35 m and using EPS type 22 (γ = 0.0216 ton/m³, ϕ = 20°, c = 0), is considered capable of significantly reducing soil loads, improving stability, and minimizing the risk of long-term settlement.
