Abstract

UMKM merupakan tulang punggung perekonomian Indonesia. Namun,kinerja UMKM di Kota Malang masih tertinggal dibandingkan kota-kota lain di Jawa Timur, tercermin dari kontribusi yang relatif rendah terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) dan terbatasnya kemampuan dalam menyerap tenaga kerja. Pemilihan Kota Malang sebagai objek penelitian didasarkan pada potensi ekonomi yang besar serta adanya disparitas kinerja UMKM dibandingkan wilayah lain di Jawa Timur.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh Network Capability terhadap kinerja bisnis UMKM di Kota Malang, dengan Competitive Advantage sebagai variabel mediasi. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi UMKM di Malang adalah terbatasnya akses terhadap jaringan bisnis, sehingga menghambat pengembangan usaha dan daya saing.

MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy. However, the performance of MSMEs in Malang City is still lagging behind other cities in East Java, reflected in the relatively low contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and the limited ability to absorb labor. The selection of Malang City as the object of research is based on its large economic potential and the disparity in MSME performance compared to other regions in East Java.
This study aims to test and analyze the effect of Network Capability on the business performance of MSMEs in Malang City, with Competitive Advantage as a mediating variable. The main problem faced by MSMEs in Malang is limited access to business networks, thus hampering business development and competitiveness.
