Abstract
Zona subduksi di selatan Jawa memiliki potensi besar tektonik yang dapat memicu gempa disertai tsunami. Kabupaten Trenggalek adalah salah satu kabupaten yang berbatasan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia selatan Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan memodelkan bahaya dan keterpaparan tsunami di wilayah selatan Jawa, khususnya Banyuwangi, merupakan ancaman signifikan akibat aktivitas megathrust di Zona Subduksi Sunda. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kinerja software COMCOT versi 1.7. berdasarkan empat sekenario yaitu (1) Pusgen (2) Widiyantoro,dkk (3) Pangandaran dan (4) skenario tsunami tahun 1994 di Banyuwangi. Pendekatan nested grid diterapkan dengan data bathimetri dari GEBCO untuk layer 1 (resolusi kasar) dan BATNAS/DEMNAS untuk layer 2 (resolusi halus), untuk mensimulasikan empat skenario sumber gempa seperti bujur, lintang, panjang bidang patahan, lebar bidang patahan, kedalaman patahan, strike, dip, slip dan dislokasi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan ketinggian gelombang maksimum hingga 12.11 m di wilayah Bandialit sementara di daerah rajekwesi ketinggiannya 10.64 m. Skenario ke-4 memiliki parameter sumber lintang 11 LS, bujur 113.7 BT, panjang bidang patahan 160 km, lebar bidang 40 km, kedalaman patahan 0 km, strike 2800, dip 120, slip 900 dan dislokasi 18 m. Ketinggian tsunami terhadap data model untuk skenario ke-4 menghasilkan akurasi terbaik dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 1.440 m dan koefisien korelasi 0.828, hal ini menandakan kesesuaian yang baik antara model dan observasi.

The subduction zone in southern Java possesses significant tectonic potential capable of triggering earthquakes accompanied by tsunamis. Trenggalek Regency is one of the coastal areas directly bordering the Indian Ocean in southern Java. This study aims to model the tsunami hazard and exposure in the South Java region, with a specific focus on Banyuwangi, which is under significant threat from megathrust activity in the Sunda Subduction Zone. Furthermore, this research evaluates the performance of the COMCOT (Cornell Multigrid Coupled Tsunami Model) software, version 1.7, based on four scenarios: (1) PusGen, (2) Widiyantoro dkk., (3) Pangandaran, and (4) the 1994 Banyuwangi historical tsunami event.The nested-grid approach was implemented, using bathymetric data from GEBCO for Layer 1 (coarse resolution) and BATNAS/DEMNAS for Layer 2 (fine resolution). This data was used to simulate the four earthquake source scenarios, defined by parameters such as longitude, latitude, fault length, fault width, fault depth, strike, dip, slip, and dislocation.The simulation results for the historical event show a maximum wave height of up to 12.11 m in the Bandialit area and 10.64 m in the Rajekwesi area. Specifically, Scenario 4, with source parameters (latitude 11° LS, longitude 113.7° BT, fault length 160 km, width 40 km, depth 0 km, strike 280°, dip 12°, slip 90°, and 18 m dislocation), yielded the best accuracy when compared to observed tsunami data. This resulted in an RMSE value of 1.440 m and a correlation coefficient of 0.828, which indicates a good agreement between the model and observations.
