Abstract
Muara Sungai Buntung, yang terletak di perbatasan Kota Surabaya dan Kabupaten Sidoarjo, merupakan bagian hilir dari Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Brantas yang mengalami permasalahan sedimentasi dan perubahan morfologi sungai. Pendangkalan akibat akumulasi sedimen yang terbawa dari hulu sungai serta pengaruh pasang surut, angin dan gelombang dari laut menyebabkan terganggunya pembuangan debit sungai ke laut, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan risiko genangan dan banjir di wilayah hilir. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola sebaran sedimentasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap kapasitas tampungan dan perubahan morfologi sungai, serta menentukan volume sedimen yang perlu ditangani melalui pengerukan. Kajian dilakukan dengan pendekatan simulasi numerik menggunakan perangkat lunak MIKE 21. Data hidrologi diolah menggunakan data hujan selama 14 tahun untuk mendapatkan debit puncak banjir sebesar 281 m³/detik. asil pemodelan menunjukkan bahwa sedimentasi dominan terjadi di area belokan hulu akibat karakteristik sungai yang berkelok (meandering), sementara di area muara sebaran sedimen dipengaruhi oleh parameter pasang surut, angin, dan gelombang. Perubahan morfologi pada tahun 2030 diprediksi meningkatkan elevasi muka air banjir hingga ± 1,4 meter dibandingkan kondisi eksisting. Untuk mengembalikan kapasitas tampung sungai, diperlukan pengerukan periodik dengan total volume sebesar 117.000 m3 pada area seluas 1,241 km2.

The mouth of the Buntung River, located on the border between Surabaya City and Sidoarjo Regency, is part of the lower reaches of the Brantas River Basin (DAS) which experiences problems of sedimentation and changes in river morphology. Siltation caused by sediment accumulation carried from upstream and the effects of tides, wind, and waves from the sea disrupt the discharge of river flow into the sea, ultimately increasing the risk of flooding in downstream areas. This final project aims to determine the pattern of sedimentation distribution and its effect on storage capacity and river morphology changes, as well as to determine the volume of sediment that needs to be handled through dredging. The study was conducted using a numerical simulation approach using MIKE 21 software. Hydrological data was processed using 14 years of rainfall data to obtain a peak flood discharge of 281 m³/second. The modeling results show that sedimentation predominantly occurs in the upstream bend area due to the meandering characteristics of the river, while in the estuary area, sediment distribution is influenced by tidal, wind, and wave parameters. Morphological changes in 2030 are predicted to increase the flood water level by ± 1.4 meters compared to existing conditions. To restore the river's storage capacity, periodic dredging with a total volume of 117,000 km3 over an area of 1,241 km2 is required.
