Abstract
Mesin roll bending pipa merupakan mesin yang digunakan untuk membentuk pipa menjadi bentuk lengkung melalui proses penekanan dan pemutaran menggunakan beberapa roll. Mesin roll bending yang sebelumnya digunakan hanya mampu mengeroll pipa dengan diameter maksimal 2 inch, sehingga tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan produksi pipa berdiameter lebih besar. Selain itu, sistem penggerak yang masih terpisah antara motor listrik dan silinder hidrolik menyebabkan sistem menjadi kurang terintegrasi dan kurang efisien. Oleh karena itu, pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan ulang sistem hidrolik pada mesin roll bending pipa dengan kapasitas maksimal diameter 4 inch menggunakan material STK 41. Perancangan dilakukan dengan menerapkan sistem hidrolik sebagai penggerak utama seluruh komponen mesin, di mana roll atas digerakkan oleh silinder hidrolik sebagai pemberi gaya tekan, sedangkan dua roll bawah digerakkan oleh motor hidrolik sebagai penghasil torsi putar. Metode perancangan meliputi studi literatur, analisis prinsip kerja sistem hidrolik, serta perhitungan teknis untuk menentukan spesifikasi komponen hidrolik seperti pompa, silinder hidrolik, motor hidrolik, katup pengontrol, pipa atau selang hidrolik, serta daya motor listrik penggerak pompa. Perhitungan dilakukan berdasarkan hukum Pascal, persamaan kontinuitas, persamaan energi, serta analisis kerugian tekanan dalam sistem.Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa sistem hidrolik yang dirancang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan gaya tekan dan torsi yang diperlukan untuk proses roll bending pipa STK 41 dengan diameter maksimal 4 inch. Sistem penggerak yang terintegrasi melalui satu unit hidrolik menghasilkan kinerja yang lebih efisien, fleksibel, dan andal dibandingkan sistem sebelumnya. Dengan demikian, perancangan sistem hidrolik ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi teknis untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan kinerja mesin roll bending pipa

A pipe roll bending machine is a mechanical device used to form pipes into curved shapes through a pressing and rolling process using multiple rolls. The roll bending machine previously applied in industry was only capable of processing pipes with a maximum diameter of 2 inches, making it insufficient to meet the increasing demand for larger pipe diameters. In addition, the use of separate electric motors and hydraulic actuators resulted in a less integrated and less efficient drive system. Therefore, this final project focuses on redesigning the hydraulic system of a pipe roll bending machine to handle STK 41 pipes with a maximum diameter of 4 inches. The proposed design applies a fully hydraulic drive system as the main power source for the machine. The upper roll is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder to provide the required pressing force, while the two lower rolls are driven by hydraulic motors to generate rotational motion. The design methodology includes literature studies, analysis of hydraulic system principles, and technical calculations to determine the specifications of hydraulic components such as the hydraulic pump, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic motor, control valves, hydraulic pipes or hoses, and the electric motor driving the pump. The calculations are based on Pascal’s law, the continuity equation, energy equations, and pressure loss analysis within the hydraulic system. The results show that the designed hydraulic system is capable of providing sufficient pressing force and torque for the roll bending process of STK 41 pipes with a maximum diameter of 4 inches. The integrated hydraulic drive system improves operational efficiency, flexibility, and reliability compared to the previous configuration. Therefore, this hydraulic system design is expected to serve as an effective technical solution for increasing the capacity and performance of pipe roll bending machines.
