Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pompa sentrifugal yang beroperasi di PLTU sebagai salah satu equipment penting dalam sistem penyediaan air ke boiler. Namun, equipment ini berpotensi mengalami kerugian kinerja yang ditunjukkan melalui penurunan efektivitas, sehingga diperlukan evaluasi performansi secara menyeluruh. Oleh karena itu, penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) dan Six Big Losses. OEE merupakan sebuah metrik yang digunakan untuk mengukur kinerja suatu proses atau peralatan industri dengan mempertimbangkan aspek Availability, Performance, dan Quality. Six Big Losses mengacu pada enam jenis kehilangan dalam proses produksi dan operasional yang dapat menghambat efisiensi dan efektivitas peralatan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan OEE, diperoleh nilai efektivitas pompa sentrifugal sebesar 85,392 %, dengan komponen availability sebesar 98,596%, performance sebesar 93,018%, dan quality sebesar 93,109%. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa nilai OEE sudah berada di atas standar world- class (85%), namun komponen performance dan quality masih berada di bawah standar world-class. Analisis Six Big Losses mengidentifikasi bahwa faktor kerugian terbesar berasal dari Reduce Speed Losses (6,982 %) dan Product Defect Losses (6,891%), yang menyebabkan peralatan beroperasi di bawah kapasitas optimal dan menghasilkan kualitas di bawah standar. Kerugian juga disebabkan oleh Equipment Failure Losses (1,216%) dan Setup and Adjustment Losses (0,188%), namun nilai tersebut relatif kecil yang mengakibatkan ketersediaan peralatan tetap tinggi dan availability rate berada di atas standar world-class OEE. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar dalam penyusunan strategi pemeliharaan dan peningkatan kualitas operasional pompa sentrifugal, khususnya melalui pengendalian kecepatan operasi dan pengurangan produk cacat, sehingga keandalan sistem di PLTU dapat terus terjaga dan nilai OEE dapat ditingkatkan menuju standar world-class.

This research was conducted on a centrifugal pump operating at a coal-fired power plant as one of the important pieces of equipment in the water supply system to the boiler. However, this equipment has the potential to experience performance losses, indicated by a decrease in effectiveness, thus requiring a comprehensive performance evaluation. Therefore, the study was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six Big Losses methods. OEE is a metric used to measure the performance of an industrial process or equipment by considering Availability, Performance, and Quality aspects. Six Big Losses refers to six types of losses in the production and operational processes that can hinder the efficiency and effectiveness of equipment. Based on the OEE calculation results, the centrifugal pump's effectiveness was obtained at 85.392%, with an availability component of 98.596%, performance of 93.018 %, and quality of 93.109%. These values indicate that the OEE score is already above the world-class standard (85%), but the performance and quality components are still below the world-class standard. The Six Big Losses analysis identifies that the largest loss factors come from Reduced Speed Losses (6.982 %) and Product Defect Losses (6.891%), which cause equipment to operate below optimal capacity and result in quality below standard. Losses are also caused by Equipment Failure Losses (1.216%) and Setup and Adjustment Losses (0.188%), but these values are relatively small, resulting in high equipment availability and an availability rate above the world-class OEE standard. The results of this research can be used as a basis for developing strategies for the maintenance and improvement of centrifugal pump operational quality, particularly through controlling operational speed and reducing defective products, so that the reliability of the system in the power plant can be continuously maintained and the OEE value can be improved towards world-class standards.
