Abstract
PT.XYZ adalah perusahaan yang produsen pupuk organik subsidi. PT.XYZ hanya memproduksi satu jenis pupuk yaitu Pupuk Organik Petroganik. Hal tersebut dikarenakan PT.XYZ merupakan salah satu dari sekian produsen yang dipercaya oleh PT Petrokimia sebagai produsen Pupuk Organik Subsidi Petroganik. PT.XYZ melakukan produksi berdasarkan order tahunan dari PT Petrokimia. Di awal tahun PT Petrokimia akan memberikan kontrak yang berisikan jumlah kebutuhan Pupuk Organik Subsidi yang harus diproduksi oleh PT.XYZ, namun pengambilan pupuk oleh PT Petrokimia yang tidak merata tiap minggunya serta tidak adanya perencanaan produksi yang sesuai dengan kondisi pada PT.XYZ mengakibatkan sering terjadi overstock pada inventory finished goods hingga mengakibatkan pemberhentian produksi. PT.XYZ juga mengalami permasalahan pada kontrol persediaan bahan baku, dimana terdapat beberapa kendala dalam menentukan kebijakan persediaan sehingga mengakibatkan overstock pada gudang bahan baku. Penerapan production planning and inventory control (PPIC) pada perusahaan dapat ditujukan untuk merespon ketidakpastian internal maupu eksternal secara efektif dan effisien. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem PPIC untuk PT.XYZ berdasarkan data historis mulai dengan melakukan forecast demand dan pembuatan sales and operational planning yang tepat hingga pembuatan material requirement planning, serta membandingkan penggunaan konvensional EOQ dengan kebijakan inventory control metode Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP). Setelah melakukan penelitian didapati perencanaan production planning apabila diterapkan pada PT.XYZ dapat membantu menekan permasalahan overstock pada finished goods dan raw material, serta dapat mengurangi total cost yang harus dikeluarkan oleh PT.XYZ untuk production cost dan inventory holding cost. Selanjutnya hasil simulasi yang didapati oleh penulis terkait penggunaan inventory control policy konvensional EOQ dan demand driven material requirement planning didapati nilai service level dan fill rate yang baik untuk kedua metode yang digunakan, namun total cost yang didapati menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode demand driven material requirement planning memiliki nilai yang lebih kecil.

PT.XYZ is a company that produces subsidized organic fertilizers. PT.XYZ only produces one type of fertilizer, namely Pupuk Organik Petroganik. This is because PT. XYZ is one of the producers trusted by PT Petrokimia as a producer of Pupuk Organik Petroganik. PT.XYZ produces based on annual orders from PT.Petrokimia. At the beginning of the year PT Petrokimia will provide a contract that contains the amount needed for Subsidized Organic Fertilizer that must be produced by PT. XYZ, however, the uneven pick-up of fertilizer by PT Petrokimia every week and without implemented an appropriate production planning with the condition at PT. XYZ. resulted in frequent overstock of finished goods inventory resulting in production stops. PT.XYZ also experienced problems in controlling raw material inventory, where there were several obstacles in determining inventory policies, resulting in overstock in the raw material warehouse. Implementation of production planning and inventory control (PPIC) in companies can be aimed at responding to internal and external uncertainties effectively and efficiently. This study aims to create a PPIC system for PT. XYZ based on historical data starting with making the right sales and operational planning to making material requirements planning, as well as comparing the use of Konvensional EOQ inventory control policies with the Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP) method. After doing research, it was found that by applying to production planning system, PT. XYZ can help reduce the problem of excess inventory in finished goods and raw materials, and can reduce the total costs that must be incurred by PT. XYZ for production costs and inventory holding costs. Furthermore, the simulation results obtained from the authors related to the use of conventional inventory control policies EOQ and demand driven material requirements planning found good service level and fill rate values for the two methods used, but the total cost found showed that the use of the demand driven material requirements planning method had smaller value.
