Abstract

Electricity is a primary need in modern life, particularly to support industrial activities. This dependency requires a sustainable energy supply that is safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly. One of the rapidly growing solutions is the Solar Power Plant (PLTS). This study aims to evaluate the construction process of a PLTS at PT X, implemented in collaboration with Developer Y during the period of October 2025 to January 2026.The analysis was conducted by reviewing installation stages including the mounting system, photovoltaic modules, inverter shelter, as well as electrical distribution and protection systems. Observations revealed that the construction proceeded according to plan, although several challenges were encountered, such as structural anomalies in purlin connections, potential shading due to the construction of a nearby building, delays in solar module delivery caused by severe weather during sea transportation from China, and voltage anomalies in the existing grid that triggered over voltage alarms on the inverter. These issues were successfully resolved through corrective actions, including the addition of reinforcement purlins, schedule adjustments, and reconfiguration of inverter protection parameters. Consequently, the PLTS project at PT X was completed on time and achieved the expected outcomes. After the solar power plant system at PT X was operational, the total energy production from the solar power plant system was 6.82 MWh, and the total electricity consumption of the factory was 36.12 MWh. Thus, the solar power plant system was able to supply 18.88% of the total daily electricity needs of PT X's factory.
