Abstract

Penelitian ini secara komprehensif mengkaji faktor-faktor desain kemasan yang memengaruhi perilaku dan kebiasaan konsumen, serta implikasinya terhadap biaya produksi dan profitabilitas maksimal. Studi ini menemukan bahwa keputusan konsumen dipengaruhi oleh interaksi kompleks antara elemen desain visual (design, image, typography, color) dan fungsional (size, materials, quality, cost). Analisis menunjukkan quality dan image kemasan secara signifikan membentuk kebiasaan konsumen, mendorong loyalitas, sementara desain dan material menjadi pendorong utama biaya produksi. Penelitian ini berhasil mengembangkan model matematis untuk optimal design packaging yang mengintegrasikan parameter-parameter kunci, dan menggunakan algoritma Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) untuk menemukan kombinasi optimal design packaging. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya strategi investasi desain yang berbeda untuk skenario produksi manufacture middle up (fokus pada kualitas dan citra premium) dan manufacture middle low (fokus pada efisiensi biaya), yang pada akhirnya mengoptimalkan profit. Model ini menyeimbangkan pendorong kebiasaan konsumen dan pengelolaan biaya, menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan holistic dalam keputusan desain kemasan.

This research comprehensively examines the packaging design factors that influence consumer behavior and habits, and the implications for production costs and maximum profitability. The study found that consumer decisions are influenced by complex interactions between visual (design, image, typography, color) and functional (size, materials, quality, cost) design elements. The analysis shows that packaging quality and image significantly shape consumer habits, driving loyalty, while design and materials are the main drivers of production costs. This research successfully develops a mathematical model for optimal packaging design that integrates key parameters, and uses an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to find the optimal combination of packaging design. The results show that there are different design investment strategies for the production scenarios of manufacture middle up (focusing on premium quality and image) and manufacture middle low (focusing on cost efficiency), which ultimately optimizes profits. The model balances the drivers of consumer habits and cost management, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach in packaging design decisions.
