Abstract
Apparel industry is one of the pivotal industries that economically contributes to the employment and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Indonesia. The implementation of industry 4.0 strategy in this sector will enable Indonesia to improve its competitiveness in the global market share. Technology 4.0 relies on the application of Internet of Things (IoT) where internet plays a significant role in online markets as the connector between sellers and buyers. COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed people’s behaviour in buying products especially apparel products. According to United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UCTAD) and Netcomm Suisse E-Commerce Association, online shopping activities in fashion and accessories category increase by 2% in every two months. This condition shows that apparel industries should create innovation and implement the use of technology to effectively perform selling activities in this COVID-19 era. In this research, virtual try-on technology is designed to help users try on products virtually. Through this technology, users will have a visualization on how apparel products fit them with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications which perform the creation of anthropometric data customized according to the determined product size variations. In conducting this research, the author will implement design thinking approach through five primary stages namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. A usability testing is performed by using System Usability Scale (SUS) with a final SUS score average of 80,8 with an A rank which is categorized as excellent. Through this application, users will have access to virtually try-on products and get a size recommendation where this will effectively reduce the potential for product returns caused by inaccurate product size. The author looks forward to the society enhancement in shopping apparel products through online platforms where this will substantially contribute to the advancement of Micro-Small-Medium Enterprise (MSME) apparel industry in Indonesia.

Industri pakaian jadi merupakan salah satu industri yang secara ekonomi memberikan konstribusi baik terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja maupun Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) Indonesia. Penerapan 4IR pada industri ini akan memungkinkan Indonesia untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya di pangsa pasar global. Teknologi 4.0 bergantung pada aplikasi Internet of Things (IoT) yang dimana internet berperan penting dalam kegiatan belanja online sebagai penghubung antara penjual dan pembeli. Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah perilaku masyarakat dalam membeli produk, khususnya pakaian jadi. Berdasarkan United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) dan Asosiaso eCommerce NetComm Suisse, industri fashion dan aksesoris meningkat 2% pada belanja online setiap 2 bulan. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa industri pakaian harus mulai mengembangkan inovasi dan mengimplementasikan teknologi untuk mempertahankan pendapatan usaha pada era COVID-19. Pada penelitian ini, teknologi virtual try-on akan dirancang untuk membantu pembeli dalam mencoba produk pakaian secara virtual. Dengan adanya teknologi virtual try-on, pengguna akan mendapatkan visualisasi pemakaian produk pakaian yang diinginkan dengan aplikasi Artificial Intelligence (AI) untuk membuat pola antropometrik yang disesuaikan dengan tabel ukuran produk. Dalam melaksanakan penelitian ini, pendekatan design thinking akan diimplementasikan melalui tahap empathize, define, ideate, prototype dan test. Usability testing dilakukan dengan menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) dengan rata-rata skor akhir SUS 80,8 yaitu peringkat A dengan kategori sangat baik. Melalui aplikasi ini, pengguna akan memiliki akses untuk mencoba produk pakaian secara virtual dan mendapat rekomendasi ukuran yang dimana hal ini akan mengurangi potensi adanya penukaran produk yang diakibatkan oleh ukuran produk yang tidak sesuai. Diharapkan juga adanya peningkatan animo masyarakat untuk berbelanja produk pakaian secara online yang dimana hal ini akan berkontribusi kepada kemajuan Unit Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) industri pakaian di Indonesia.
