Abstract

Proses perancangan dan verifikasi struktur kapal berdasarkan ketentuan Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) umumnya masih memerlukan perhitungan berulang dan pemeriksaan manual yang memakan waktu serta berpotensi menimbulkan ketidakkonsistenan hasil. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat lunak untuk mendukung perancangan dan verifikasi struktur kapal pada studi kasus kapal tanker 6500 DWT. Perangkat lunak dibangun menggunakan MATLAB dan dilengkapi antarmuka Graphical User Interface untuk memfasilitasi pengisian data ukuran utama, parameter desain konstruksi, serta pemuatan data geometri dari offset table dan katalog profil. Metode yang diterapkan mencakup pemodelan penampang melintang dan lajur pelat secara otomatis, pemetaan titik beban, perhitungan beban struktur sesuai persamaan rujukan BKI, penentuan ukuran konstruksi melalui syarat tebal pelat dan syarat modulus pembujur, serta analisis kekuatan memanjang berupa gaya tekan ke atas, distribusi gaya lintang dan momen lengkung kondisi still water, hingga evaluasi momen total pada kondisi hogging dan sagging. Hasil perhitungan kemudian diverifikasi terhadap batas minimum parameter penampang dan batas tegangan ijin. Pada verifikasi yang dilakukan, nilai modulus penampang bawah dan geladak masing-masing sebesar 1,0017×107 cm3 dan 5,1732×106 cm3 melampaui batas 2,2968×105 cm3, nilai momen inersia sebesar 3,8549×109 cm4 melampaui batas 7,1521×108 cm4, serta tegangan pada kondisi hogging dan sagging berada di bawah tegangan ijin sehingga dinyatakan memenuhi. Dengan demikian, perangkat lunak yang dikembangkan mampu menghasilkan keluaran perhitungan dan verifikasi secara sistematis serta mempermudah proses evaluasi desain struktur sesuai ketentuan BKI.

The design and verification of ship structures in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian Classification Society (BKI) often involve repetitive calculations and manual checking, which are time consuming and may lead to inconsistent results. This study aims to develop software to support structural design and verification for a 6,500 DWT tanker as a case study. The software was developed using MATLAB and equipped with a Graphical User Interface to facilitate the input of principal dimensions, structural design parameters, and geometric data loaded from an offset table and a profile catalog. The implemented method includes automated modeling of the midship section and plate strakes, mapping of load application points, calculation of structural loads based on BKI reference equations, determination of structural dimensions through minimum plate thickness requirements and longitudinal section modulus requirements, and longitudinal strength analysis covering the upward pressure distribution, shear force and bending moment distributions under still water conditions, and total bending moment evaluation under hogging and sagging conditions. The computed results were then verified against minimum sectional property limits and allowable stress limits. The verification shows that the bottom and deck section moduli of 1.0017×107 cm3 and 5.1732×106 cm3 exceed the limit of 2.2968×105 cm3, the second moment of area of 3.8549×109 cm4 exceeds the limit of 7.1521×108 cm4, and the stresses under hogging and sagging remain below the allowable stress, indicating compliance. Therefore, the developed software provides systematic calculation and verification outputs and improves the efficiency of structural design evaluation in accordance with BKI rules.
