Abstract
Seleksi Nasional Berbasis Tes (SNBT) merupakan sistem penerimaan mahasiswa untuk mengukur potensi kognitif calon mahasiswa melalui tes skolastik. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menduduki peringkat ke-4 nasional nilai UTBK SNBT tertinggi di Indonesia pada tahun 2024 dengan rata-rata sebesar 673,47. Selain tes skolastik, potensi kognitif calon mahasiswa juga diukur melalui nilai Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) dengan rata-rata TPA di FTK, FT-EIC, dan FV sebesar 551,680 serta nilai TPA minimum sebesar 418 dan maksimum sebesar 696. Capaian tersebut menunjukkan potensi akademik awal yang baik, namun apakah tingginya potensi kognitif tersebut dapat menjamin proses pembelajaran yang kapabel? Penelitian ini bertujuan mengindentifikasi kapabilitas proses pembelajaran mahasiswa baru ITS yang diterima melalui jalur SNBT tahun 2024 di tiga fakultas, yakni FTK, FT-EIC, dan FV. Hasil uji perbandingan dengan ANOVA Welch menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nilai IPS yang signifikan antar fakultas dan program studi. Analisis kapabilitas proses menunjukkan hanya 8,33% dari 12 program studi yang kapabel, yaitu Teknik Rekayasa Instrumentasi dengan rata-rata sebesar 3,205 pada rentang BKB sebesar 2,824 dan BKA sebesar 3,585, serta indeks C_p sebesar 1,858 dan C_pk sebesar 1,478. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tidak kapabelnya proses pembelajaran berdasarkan pada Diagram Fishbone adalah manusia (kesulitan memahami), mesin (keterbatasan media pembelajaran), material (beban materi yang kompleks), metode (ketidaksesuaian metode pembelajaran), pengukuran (ketidaksesuaian bentuk evaluasi), dan lingkungan (kurang kondusif). Sedangkan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tinggi rendahnya nilai IPS berdasarkan pemodelan Regresi Linear Berganda adalah nilai TPA dan lama waktu belajar di luar perkuliahan pada taraf signifikan (α) 10%.

The National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) is a student admission system that measures the cognitive potential of prospective students through scholastic tests. The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) ranked 4th nationally in terms of the highest SNBT UTBK scores in Indonesia in 2024, with an average of 673.47. In addition to scholastic tests, the cognitive potential of prospective students is also measured through Academic Potential Test (TPA) scores, with an average TPA score of 551.680 in FTK, FT-EIC, and FV, and a minimum TPA score of 418 and a maximum of 696. These achievements indicate good initial academic potential, but does this high cognitive potential guarantee a capable learning process? This study aims to identify the learning process capabilities of new ITS students admitted through the 2024 SNBT pathway in three faculties, namely FTK, FT-EIC, and FV. The results of the comparison test using Welch's ANOVA show significant differences in IPS scores between faculties and study programs. The learning process capability analysis shows that only 8.33% of the 12 study programs are capable, namely Instrumentation Engineering with an average of 3.205 in the BKB range of 2.824 and BKA of 3.585, as well as a C_p index of 1.858 and a C_pk of 1.478. The factors that influence the incompetence of the learning process based on the Fishbone Diagram are human (difficulty in understanding), machine (limitations of learning media), material (complex material load), method (inappropriate learning methods), measurement (inappropriate evaluation forms), and environment (unconducive). Meanwhile, the factors that influence the high and low values of social studies based on Multiple Linear Regression modeling are TPA scores and the length of study time outside of lectures at a significant level (α) of 10%.
