Abstract

Dalam pembangunan kapal, fatigue life merupakan analisa yang sering diabaikan yang menyebabkan tidak diketahuinya umur konstruksi sebuah kapal. Penelitian ini membahas fatigue life dari cardeck yang terjadi deformasi pada kapal ferry ro-ro. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat oleh peneliti adalah bagaimana nilai tertinggi stress, lokasi stress tertinggi, penyebab terjadinya deformasi dan juga fatigue life pada cardeck kapal ferry ro-ro. Perhitungan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui umur sebuah konstruksi cardeck, sehingga dapat menjadi acuan untuk menentukan umur cardeck kapal kedepannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Finite Element Method (FEM) dalam analisis dan perhitungan fatigue life menggunakan metode pendekatan sonderberg. Tahapan yang dalam penelitian ini dimulai dari menghitung distribusi berat dan bouyancy kesuluruhan dari kapal, selanjutnya dari nilai distribusi beban tersebut didapatkan nilai kekuatan kapal. Hasil penilitian menunjukkan pada kondisi muatan normal dan gelombang sagging nilai stress tertinggi sebesar 126.2 Mpa berlokasi di starboard antara penguat longitudinal 1 dan 2 (900 from CL) antara frame 56 dan 57 dengan nilai fatigue life 400.6 tahun, kondisi muatan normal dan gelombang hogging nilai stress tertinggi sebesar 418.5 Mpa berlokasi di starboard antara penguat longitudinal 4 dan 5 (3300 mm from CL) antara frame 56 dan 57 dengan nilai fatigue life 6.4 tahun, kondisi muatan overload dan gelombang sagging nilai stress sebesar 158.4 Mpa berlokasi di portside antara penguat longitudinal 4 dan 5 (3300 mm from CL) antara frame 50 dan 51 dengan nilai fatigue life 126.2 tahun, kondisi kondisi muatan overload dan gelombang hogging nilai stress sebesar 481.5 Mpa berlokasi di starboard antara penguat longitudinal 4 dan 5 (3300 mm from CL) antara frame 56 dan 57 dengan nilai fatigue life 4.3 tahun. Dari hasil analisis didapatkan nilai stress tertinggi pada kondisi gelombang hogging melebihi yield strength 321 Mpa.

In development of ship, fatigue life is one of analisist that often not undestood. So that caused the life construction of ship unknown. This study discusses the fatigue life of the car deck which is caused by deformation on the ro-ro ferry. The problem formulation that carried from the researcher is how the number of maximum stress, the location of maximum stress, the cause of deformation, and the fatigue life on cardeck of Ro-ro passenger ship. This calculation conducted to know the life of cardeck construction, so it can be the reference to determine the life of ship cardeck in the future. This analysis is done with finite element method and the calculation of fatigue life with approach sonderberg method. The step of this research is started from calculating weight and bouyancy distribution the whole of ship, then the number of ship longitudinal strength will be obtained from the result of load distribution. The result of this research showing the condition on normal load and sagging wave with highest stress value 126.2 Mpa located at starboard between longitudinal strength 1 and 2 (900 from CL) between frame 56 and 57 with fatigue life value 400.6 years, condition on normal load and hogging wave with highest stress value 418.5 Mpa located at starboard between longitudinal strength 4 and 5 (3300 from CL) between frame 56 and 57 with fatigue life value 6.4 years, condition on overload and sagging wave with highest stress value 158.4 Mpa located at portside between longitudinal strength 4 and 5 (3300 from CL) between frame 50 and 51 with fatigue life value 126.2 years, and condition on overload and hogging wave with highest stress value 481.5 Mpa located at starboard between longitudinal strength 4 and 5 (3300 from CL) between frame 56 and 57 with fatigue life value 4.3 years. From the analysis result obtained highest stress value on hogging wave condition exceed the value of yield strength 321 Mpa.
