Abstract

The high number of ship accidents in the Java Sea needs to be evaluated. It was recorded that from 2018 to 2020, there were 1152 cases of ship accidents in Indonesian seas. One hundred four cases were fishing boat accidents in the Java Sea. The existence of SART (search and rescue transponder) is very crucial on a ship. SOLAS regulations only require vessels over 60 GT to mount the AIS-SART. There are demands for cheap SART to be used by small-income fishermen. This study aims to make a cheap SART with the main components of Arduino Uno, LoRa, GPS Neo 6m and Wemos. This research continues the previous research, which succeeded in making Mini SART-DMOM with a range of only about 50 meters. It is hoped that this further research can increase the Range of the Mini SART-DMOM. Antenna development, design improvement, and addition of Radio Frequency (RF) booster are in this research. The results of this study prove that the new Mini SART-DMOM can increase the signal range up to 4.9 km with the new antenna without the RF booster and 1.1 km using the new antenna with the RF booster. The development of the new antenna succeeded in increasing the performance of the Mini SART-DMOM but the addition of an RF booster actually reduced its performance

Tingginya kasus kecelakaan kapal di laut jawa merupakan hal yang perlu di evaluasi. Terdata pada tahun 2018 sampai 2020 ada 1152 kasus kecelakaan kapal di laut indonesia. 104 kasus merupakan kecelakaan kapal ikan di laut jawa. Keberadaan SART(search and rescue transponder) merupakan hal yang sangat krusial di sebuah kapal. Peraturan SOLAS hanya mewajibkan kapal dengan bobot di atas 60 GT memasangkan AIS-SART. perlunya SART murah untuk dapat di gunakan nelayan-nelayan berpendapatan kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat SART murah dengan komponen utama Arduino Uno, LoRa, GPS Neo 6m dan wemos. Penelitian ini melanjutkan penelitian sebelumnya yang berhasil membuat Mini SART-DMOM dengan jangkauan hanya 50 meter. Diharapkan penelitian lanjutan ini dapat meningkatkan jarak jangkauan dari Mini SART-DMOM. Pengembangan antenna, peningkatan desain, dan penambahan Radio Frequency (RF) booster ada di penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa alat Mini SART-DMOM yang baru dapat meningkatkan jarak jangkauan signal hingga 4,9 km dengan antenna baru tanpa RF booster dan 1,1 km menggunakan antenna baru dengan RF booster. Pengembangan antenna baru berhasil meningkatkan performa Mini SART-DMOM tetapi penambahan RF booster malah mengurangi performanya.
