Abstract
In a cooling system that uses vapor compression, it must have equipment such as a compressor, condenser, expansion valve, evaporator, and refrigerant. In this test I used refrigerant r134a as the fluid. In this trial, I tried three expansion valves, namely (1) Capillary Pipe (2) TVX (3) Hand Expansion Valve to compare their effects on the r134a refrigerated cooling system and which one has the best coefficient of performance. COP is compared between cooling performance and energy required. In Chiller COP can be considered KW (cooling) / KW (electricity). The greater the value, the more efficient the cooling system will be. For the COP results from the r134a refrigerant system experiment with Capillary Pipes, the value is 2.05. Meanwhile, the R134a refrigerant cooling system with Hand Expansion Valve has a value of 2.04. And the last one for the r134a refrigerant with TXV having a value of 2.03.

Pada sistem pendingin yang menggunakan kompresi uap harus memiliki peralatan seperti kompresor, kondensor, katup ekspansi, evaporator, serta refigeran. Di uji coba ini saya menggunakan refigerant r134a sebagai fluidanya. Dalam uji coba ini saya mencoba tiga katup ekspansi yaitu (1) Pipa Kapiler (2) TVX (3) Hand Expansion Valve untuk dibandingkan apa saja pengaruhnya terhadapa sistem pendingin berefigeran r134a serta mana yang Coeficient of Performance yang paling baik. COP dibandingkan antara kinerja pendinginan terhadap energi yang di perlukan. Pada Chiller COP bisa di anggap KW(pendinginan)/KW(listrik). Semakin besar nilainya, maka sistem pendingin akan semakin effisien. Untuk hasil COP dari percobaan sistem pendingin berefigeran r134a dengan Pipa Kapiler memilik nilai 2,05. Sementara untuk sistem pendingin berefigeran r134a dengan Hand Expansion Valve memilik nilai 2,04. Dan yang terakhir untuk sistem pendingin berefigeran r134a dengan TXV memilik nilai 2,03.
