Abstract
Kegiatan magang industri merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi pembelajaran vokasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa melalui pengalaman kerja langsung di industri. Magang ini dilaksanakan di PT. Sinergi Gula Nusantara Unit Pabrik Gula Kedawoeng dengan fokus pada analisis kinerja peralatan produksi, khususnya Cane Knife 1 dan Shaft Mounting Drying Mill. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah tingginya jam berhenti (downtime) yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas kinerja mesin dan produktivitas pabrik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) untuk mengukur tingkat efektivitas mesin berdasarkan tiga parameter utama yaitu availability, performance, dan quality, serta pendekatan Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab kerugian melalui analisis Six Big Losses. Data yang digunakan merupakan data operasional selama masa giling tahun 2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai OEE pada kedua peralatan masih berada di bawah standar ideal (>85%), yang disebabkan oleh dominasi faktor kerugian seperti reduced speed losses dan yield/scrap losses. Selain itu, ditemukan beberapa penyebab utama downtime yang berkaitan dengan aspek manusia, mesin, metode, dan lingkungan kerja. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dilakukan evaluasi penerapan TPM serta diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan guna meningkatkan kinerja mesin dan mengurangi kerugian produksi. Dengan adanya analisis ini, diharapkan perusahaan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas peralatan, mengoptimalkan proses produksi, serta menerapkan sistem perawatan yang lebih terstruktur dan berkelanjutan.

Industrial internship is one form of vocational learning implementation that aims to improve student competency through direct work experience in the industry. This internship was conducted at PT. Sinergi Gula Nusantara Kedawoeng Sugar Factory Unit with a focus on analyzing the performance of production equipment, specifically Cane Knife 1 and Shaft Mounting Drying Mill. The main problem studied was the high downtime that can affect the effectiveness of machine performance and factory productivity. The method used in this study is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to measure the level of machine effectiveness based on three main parameters: availability, performance, and quality, and the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach to identify the causes of losses through Six Big Losses analysis. The data used is operational data during the 2024 milling period. The results of the analysis show that the OEE value of both equipment is still below the ideal standard (>85%), which is caused by the dominance of loss factors such as reduced speed of loss and loss of results/scrap. In addition, several main causes of downtime were found related to human, machine, method, and work environment aspects. Based on these results, an evaluation of TPM implementation was conducted and recommendations for improvements were provided to enhance machine performance and reduce production losses. With this analysis, the company is expected to improve equipment effectiveness, optimize production processes, and implement a more structured and sustainable maintenance system.
