Abstract
Kegiatan magang industri ini dilaksanakan di Science Techno Park (STP) Otomotif Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) selama empat bulan, yaitu dari Januari hingga Mei 2025. Program magang ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada mahasiswa dalam mengaplikasikan ilmu teknik mesin di dunia industri, khususnya pada bidang pengembangan kendaraan listrik. Fokus utama kegiatan ini adalah desain dan perancangan dashboard pada lowdeck medium electric vehicle bus.Metodologi yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, pengukuran kondisi eksisting, serta perancangan desain menggunakan perangkat lunak Computer Aided Design (CAD). Selain itu, dilakukan analisis ergonomi dengan menggunakan data antropometri Indonesia untuk memastikan kenyamanan dan keamanan pengemudi. Analisis Geometrical Field of View (GFOV) dan jangkauan tangan pengemudi juga dilakukan untuk menentukan posisi optimal komponen dashboard. Tahapan selanjutnya meliputi pemilihan material, perencanaan proses manufaktur, serta estimasi biaya produksi.Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah desain dashboard yang ergonomis, fungsional, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan operasional kendaraan listrik. Desain yang dihasilkan mempertimbangkan tata letak komponen kontrol, visibilitas pengemudi, serta kemudahan dalam pengoperasian. Selain itu, diperoleh rekomendasi proses manufaktur yang efisien serta estimasi biaya yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam proses produksi.Melalui kegiatan magang ini, penulis memperoleh pengalaman praktis dalam proses perancangan dan pengembangan kendaraan listrik, serta meningkatkan kemampuan teknis, analitis, dan pemahaman terhadap kondisi nyata di dunia industri.

This industrial internship was conducted at the Science Techno Park (STP) Automotive, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), over a period of four months from January to May 2025. The internship program aimed to provide practical experience in applying mechanical engineering knowledge in an industrial environment, particularly in the field of electric vehicle development. The main focus of this project was the design and development of a dashboard for a lowdeck medium electric vehicle bus.The methodology employed in this study included literature review, field observation, measurement of existing conditions, and design development using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Ergonomic analysis was conducted based on Indonesian anthropometric data to ensure driver comfort and safety. In addition, Geometrical Field of View (GFOV) analysis and driver reach evaluation were performed to determine the optimal placement of dashboard components. Further steps included material selection, manufacturing process planning, and cost estimation.The results of this internship include the development of an ergonomic and functional dashboard design that meets operational requirements of an electric vehicle. The design takes into account control layout, driver visibility, and ease of operation. Moreover, recommendations for an efficient manufacturing process and cost estimation were produced to support future production implementation.Through this internship, the author gained valuable practical experience in the design and development of electric vehicles, while also improving technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of real industrial practices.
