Abstract
According to the B30, B50, and B100 biodiesel studies th,ere are various arguments described in the literature for the observed increase in NOx emissions when using biodiesel fuelNOx emissions increase with increasing engine speed for all types of fuels due to the high combustion temperature of the gas and high pressure in the combustion chamber. More NOx is emitted due to the higher temperature of the combustion chamber. The formation of NOx increases with increasing ratio of alcohol and oxygen content in the ethanol mixtureoptmixture optimizationhe emulsion between ethanol and biodiesel plus a surfactant because surfactants can reduce the difference in specific gravity of oil and water.NOx emission levels using B50 fuel without emulsion at RPM 2000 fueled have a tendency to be higher at 75% load and higher at high loads compared to emulsified fuel, while NOx emission levels using B50 emulsion fuel at 2000 RPM are smaller.
