Abstract
Metilen Biru (MB) merupakan salah satu pewarna Azo yang banyak digunakan dalam industri tekstil, makanan, dan obat-obatan dan merupakan suatu renyawa beracun yang sangat stabil sehingga sulit untuk ditangani. Salah satu cara dalam menangani polutan ini adalah melalui fotokatalisis. Proses ini dapat ditingkatkan lebih lanjut melalui perpaduan dengan filtrasi membran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan membran komposit baru berbasis PES/POM-TiO2. Material POM/TiO2 akan disintesis melalui beberapa tahap. Komposit POM-TiO2 berbasis Keggin (PW12) dan Wells-Dawson (P2W18) disintesis melalui metode sol-gel dan kalsinasi, kemudian membran komposit PES/POM-TiO2 dipreparasi melalui metode inversi fasa. Struktur material fotokatalis dan membran komposit dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD dan FTIR. Morfologi material dikarakterisasi melalui SEM-EDX. Hidrofilisitas membran dikarakterisasi melalui pengukuran sudut kontak. Pengujian performa penghilangan warna dilakukan dalam waktu 1 jam, menggunakan konsentrasi MB 5 mg/L, dan diamati menggunakan UV-Vis DRS. Variasi optimum membran yang diperoleh menunjukkan fluks MB 5 mg/L sebesar 36,84 Kg/m2h dengan rejeksi mencapai 92%. Membran yang dipreprasi memiliki potensi dalam menangani zat warna, khususnya MB.

Methylene Blue (MB) is one of the Azo dyes that is widely used in the textile, food, and medicine industries and is a very stable toxic compound that is difficult to handle. One way to deal with these pollutants is through photocatalysis. This process can be further improved by combining it with membrane filtration. This study aims to develop a new composite membrane based on PES/POM-TiO2. POM/TiO2 material will be synthesized through several steps. Keggin (PW12) and Wells-Dawson (P2W18) based POM-TiO2 composites were synthesized by sol-gel and calcination methods, then PES/POM-TiO2 composite membranes were prepared by phase inversion method. The structure of the photocatalyst material and the composite membrane was characterized using XRD and FTIR. The material morphology was characterized by SEM-EDX. The hydrophilicity of the membrane was characterized by measuring the contact angle. Decolorization performance test was carried out within 1 hour, using MB concentration of 5 mg/L, and observed using UV-Vis DRS. The optimum variation of membranes showed a flux of MB 5 mg/L of 36.84 Kg/m2h with rejection up to 92%. Fabricated membranes have potential in treating dye pollutant, particularly MB.
