Abstract

Adsorpsi ion logam Pb(II) dalam larutan menggunakan adsorben yang terbuat dari jerami padi telah dilakukan. Jerami padi (Oryza sativa) di furnace pada pada suhu 450℃ selama 2 jam dengan laju pemanasan sebesar 10 ℃/menit dan diaktivasi menggunakan asam fosfat (H3PO4) untuk menurunkan kadar ion logam Pb(II) dalam larutan. Proses adsorpsi dilakukan pada kondisi massa adsorben 4 g/L, konsentrasi awal larutan Pb(II) 40 mg/L, volume adsorbat 25 mL, kecepatan pengadukan 150 rpm dan pada suhu ruang untuk mengetahui pH dan waktu kontak optimum. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu pH optimum untuk proses adsorpsi ion logam Pb(II) dalam larutan adalah pada pH 6 dengan jumlah penurunan kadar ion Pb(II) sebesar 94,88 %. Sedangkan, waktu kontak optimum dicapai pada menit ke-180.

Adsorption of Pb(II) ions from solution using an adsorbent made from rice straw has been investigated. Rice straw (Oryza sativa) was furnaced at a temperature 450℃ for 2 hours with a heating rate of 10℃/minute and activated using phosphoric acid (H3PO4) to reduce the concentration of Pb(II) ions in solution. The adsorption process was carried out under the condition that the adsorbent dose was 4 g/L, the initial concentration of the Pb(II) solution was 40 mg/L, the volume of the adsorbate solution was 25 mL, the stirring speed was 150 rpm and at room temperature to determine the optimum pH and contact time. Subsequently, the optimum pH was observed in pH 6 with a total decrease in Pb(II) ions is 94,88 %. Then, the optimum contact time was reached at 180 minute.
