Abstract

The manufacturing plant for Microcrystalline Cellulose is carried out through a pretreatment process, cellulose separation, cellulose purification and the formation of Microcrystalline Cellulose. The Microcrystalline Cellulose plant is planned to run with a capacity of 5000 tons/year for 330 days per year. This plant is expected to produce Microcrystalline Cellulose to meet domestic demand. The raw material used in the manufacture of Microcrystalline Cellulose is bagasse or bagasse. This factory is planned to be built in Mojokerto Regency, this has been considered through several aspects including the availability of raw materials. From this factory economic evaluation study, it was concluded that the estimated capital (CAPEX) was Rp. 253,517,756,883; operational costs (OPEX) of Rp. 146.029,496,493. Based on the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the Microcrystalline Cellulose plant with a capacity of 5000 tons/year is low risk and economically feasible. Based on the operating conditions of the properties of raw materials and products, the Microcrystalline Cellulose plant of this bagasse is classified as a low-risk factory. Based on the economic analysis of this factory, the rate of return on capital (IRR) was obtained at 18.4% with an interest rate of 8.25% per year. Payback period (POT) for 7 years 10 months. The NPV obtained is also positive, namely Rp. 36,211,726,752. From the feasibility analysis data above, it is concluded that this factory is profitable and feasible to establish.
