Abstract
Kebutuhan energi di Indonesia terus meningkat, namun tidak diiringi dengan peningkatan produksi energi. Salah satu energi alternatif yang dapat kita maksimalkan adalah energi gas alam yang memiliki nilai LCOE yang cukup murah, emisi karbon yang rendah, cadangan yang besar. Energi gas bumi merupakan sumber energi berbasis hidrokarbon yang memiliki beberapa campuran fraksi hidrokarbon. Untuk menjadikan gas bumi untuk dijual dan dijadikan suatu produk, diperlukan proses fraksinasi. Proses fraksinasi ini dapat memisahkan komposisi hidrokarbon berdasarkan volatilitasnya. Namun, proses ini membutuhkan energi besar. Sehingga, dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode kontrol plantwide untuk meningkatkan stabilitas dan memaksimalkan keuntungan. Desain PWC yang diterapkan pada dua kolom non-conventional rectifier configuration natural gas plant dan berhasil meningkatkan kestabilan sistem, ditunjukkan dengan penurunan pada nilai maximum overshoot, settling time, ESS serta nilai IAE saat diberi gangguan dibandingkan jika hanya menggunakan metode PID. Saat penurunan dan peningkatan laju produksi, desain PWC dapat menghemat penggunaan energi sebesar 663,70kWh dan 1991,11kWh dibandingkan dengan pengendali PID saja. Pada segi ekonomi mampu meningkatkan profit hingga 1.548,22USD/h saat produksi diturunkan dan 3.142,76USD/h produksi ditingkatkan dibandingkan dengan pengendali PID saja.

Indonesia energy demand continues to increase but is not accompanied by an increase in energy production. One of the alternative energies that we can maximize is natural gas energy which has a cheap LCOE value, low carbon emissions, and large reserves. Natural gas energy is a hydrocarbon-based energy source that has several mixtures of hydrocarbon fractions. To make natural gas to be sold and made into a product, a fractionation process is needed. This fractionation process can separate the composition of hydrocarbons based on their volatility. However, this process requires a lot of energy. Thus, in this study, a plantwide control method was used to improve stability and maximize profits. The applied PWC design has succeeded in increasing the stability of the system, as indicated by a decrease in the maximum overshoot, settling time, ESS and IAE values when disturbed. When the production rate decreases and increases, the PWC design can save energy usage by 663.70kWh and 1991.11kWh compared to PID control. From an economic perspective, it was able to increase profits up to 1,548.22USD/h when production was reduced and 3,142.76USD/h production was increased compared to PID control.
