Abstract
Madu memiliki banyak nutrisi dan manfaat namun mempunyai harga yang tinggi sehingga penambahan kandungan adulterant seperti gula ban yak dilakukan oleh produsen madu untuk meningkatkan produksi. Serat optik U-bent memiliki sensitivitas yang tinggi, kemudahan dalam fabrikasi, disain yang ergonomis, dan tidak mudah rapuh sebagai sensor sehingga diusulkan metode serat optik plastic bersnuktur u-bent untuk deteksi kandungan adulterant dalam madu. Karaktetistik perubahan konsentrasi madu terhadap intensitas cahaya memiliki respon yang berbeda pada setiap variasi diameter lengkung sensor serat optik. Pada serat optik yang memiliki diameter lengkung 5 mm, nilai intensitas cenderung naik seiring bertambahnya konsentrasi sukrosa dalam madu. Sedangkan nilai intensitas serat optik yang memiliki diameter lengkung 10 mm cenderung turun seiring bertambahnya konsentrasi sukrosa dalam madu. Sensitivitas dari pengukuran berbasis intensitas untuk masing-masing dengan diameter 5 mm, 10 mm, dan 15 mm pada konsentrasi sukrosa dalam madu 0-5% adalah 0. 1103 dBrnl%, 0.053 dBm/%, dan 0.042 dBrnl% sehingga disain serat optik plastic berstruktur u-bent yang optimum untuk deteksi pemalsuan pada madu dirniliki oleh variasi diameter yang sensitivitasnya paling besar yaitu diameter lengkung 5 mm. Pada pengukuran berbasis intensitas, semakin kecil diameter lengkung dari serat optik plastik U-Bent, semakin tinggi nilai sensitivitasnya.

Honey has many nutrients and benefits but has an expensive price so the addition of adulterant content such as sugar is mostly done by honey producers to increase production. U-bent optical fiber has high sensitivity, ease of fabrication, ergonomic design, and is not easily brittle as a sensor, so the plastic optical fiber u-bent method is proposed for the detection of adulterant content in honey. The characteristics of changes in honey concentration to light intensity have a different response to each variation in the diameter of the fiber optic u-bent sensor. In optical fiber which has a curved diameter of 5 mm, the intensity value tends to increase as the sucrose concentration in honey increases. Meanwhile, the intensity value of optical fiber which has a curved diameter of 10 rnm and 15 mm tends to decrease as the concentration of sucrose in honey increases. The sensitivity of the intensity-based measurements for diameters of 5 mm, 10 mm, and 15 mm respectively at the concentration of sucrose in 0-5% honey was 0.1103 dBm/%, 0.053 dBrnl% , and 0.042 dBrnl% so that the design of the optical fiber is plastic. The optimum u-bent structure for detecting adulteration in honey is owned by the diameter variation with the greatest sensitivity at the curved diameter of 5 mm. At the intensity-based measurement, the smaller the curved diameter of U-Bent Plastic Optical Fiber, the higher the sensitivity value.
