Abstract

This internship report discusses the simulation of partial production scheduling for the High Pressure Heater (HPH) project at PT PAL Indonesia using the Critical Path Method (CPM). The main issue in the project was the delay in imported material procurement, causing several production activities to be postponed. Therefore, an identification process was carried out to determine activities that could still be performed based on the availability of local and existing materials. The CPM method was applied to arrange work sequences, determine the critical path, and estimate the project completion time through simulation. The analysis was conducted using forward pass and backward pass calculations to identify activities with float time and activities that critically affect project completion. The simulation results indicate that partial scheduling can help the company maintain production efficiency despite material delays. In addition, the estimated Work in Progress (WIP) can be utilized to monitor workload and production progress, enabling more effective resource management during the production process.
