Abstract

Lombok Island is one of the islands located in an area that is a source of earthquakes such as the Back Arc Thrust Zone, Megathrust and shear fault systems. A series of earthquakes hit the Lombok Island area, one of which was quite large with a magnitude of Mw 6.9, which occurred on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 18:46:37 WIB. After a series of earthquakes that occurred on the island of Lombok there was a change in shape, change in position and orientation as well as in size called deformation. To determine the post-earthquake deformation with an area that has a large enough coverage area, the active remote sensing method is the most efficient method. This study uses the DInSAR two-pass interferometry method with data from the ascending and descending Sentinel-1A Satellite imagery which is then decomposed into 2D Line of Sight (LOS) vertical vectors and west-east directions and validated with Okada modeling. The results of DInSAR processing on the ascending image show deformation in the form of an uplift or land level rise of up to 0.122 meters and a subsidence or land subsidence of up to -0.172 meters. The descending image processing results show deformation in the form of uplift up to 0.109 meters and subsidence up to -0.169 meters. From these results, the area that experienced significant deformation was the North Lombok region. The vertical displacement of the LOS to 2D decomposition has a deformation value range of -0.141 to 0.088 meters while the west-east direction has a value range of -0.034 to 0.049 meters. Meanwhile, from the calculation of the correlation coefficient, the deformation value of the decomposition results and Okada validation has a strong correlation, namely 0.93341015 for the vertical direction and 0.43782683 for the west-east direction.
